Even more Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection brushes, beauty, brushes, make up, Real Techniques, review, Real Techniques 100 Arched Powder brush, Real Techniques 300 Tapered Blush brush, Real Techniques 200 Oval Shadow brush

You can read my thoughts about my two Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection brushes here, but I got three new additions recently and just had to do a separate review for them! They are also incredibly soft and luxurious with gold, silver and rose gold handles.

Real Techniques 100 Arched Powder brush*
Has a perfect cute to sweep across the face for flawless application of loose of pressed powders. It's not very densely packed and picks just the right amount of product. I like using it also to gently blend my blusher and highlighter because it is so wide and rather flat.

Real Techniques 300 Tapered Blush brush*
This brush has a perfect tip to highlight and sculpt across the cheeks. It's very soft and blends the blusher for a natural finish. I read some reviews of people hating this brush and I really don't understand why. Some say that the rose gold finish chips, but nothing like this happened to me so far.

Real Techniques 200 Oval Shadow brush*
I really like its shape and size. This brush applies eyeshadow all over the lid with one stroke and makes it super easy to blend. It is just perfect and I love using it with my Urban Decay Naked palettes for a little injection of makeup luxury into my morning routine.

LUSH Oxford Street store exclusive products

LUSH Oxford Street store exclusive products, Comforter Moisturising Shower Cream, Ginger Buttercup, Windmills, Little Dragons, Lotus Flowers, Frozen, Milk Bottles, Sticky Banana, LUSH, Damaged hot oil treatment, Eye Jewels, beauty, blogger, UK blog, LUSH eye jeweles

Last Friday a brand new LUSH store opened on Oxford Street in London. It is the new flagship store and is thirteen times bigger than the average LUSH store - that means a lot of LUSH products and a lot of space. You can literally get lost in scents and colours - all over three floors! I think the most exciting thing are the new exclusive prodcuts - there is currently 214 in the line up - it grew significantly from the original 100! All the products are LUSH Oxfrod Street exclusive and the best-selling ones will go on the permanent sale in all LUSH stores beginning June. There is a lot of new products and it's impossible to cram them all in one post, but here is a nutshell...

LUSH Oxford Street store exclusive products, Comforter Moisturising Shower Cream, Ginger Buttercup, Windmills, Little Dragons, Lotus Flowers, Frozen, Milk Bottles, Sticky Banana, LUSH, Damaged hot oil treatment, Eye Jewels, beauty, blogger, UK blog, LUSH eye jeweles

Comforter Moisturising Shower Cream - something I am most excited about because I love The Comforter but we don't have a bathtub in our flat, so I can only use it when I am on holidays! It has the most delicious smell of blackberries - yum! - and it has glitter, I seriously couldn't ask for more!

There are lots of new bath bars including these glitterly gold Ginger Buttercup (not really my cup of tea since I am not a fan of ginger), Frozen (very fresh and invigorating) and Flamingo (sweet and pink). There are many cute designs like Windmills, Little Dragons, Lotus Flowers and even Milk Bottles, it's bath indulgence at your finest!

There are also new exclusive soaps like this cool Sticky Banana which looks good enough to eat, Oxford Street combining the most loved LUSH fragrances into one, Damaged hot oil treatment with vanilla and avocado and old favourites like Respect Your Elders.

One of the things that got me excited were brand new Eye Jewels in an array of colours from white, silver to blue and green. They are additions to LUSH's makeup range and I would describe them as melted eyeshadows/eyeliners blend. You can apply them with fingers and blend gently, or go for a precise eyeliner with a brush. They don't come cheap - £10 each! - although you can get a cute case for them. I'm not sure what will be their staying power, they seem incredibly creamy, so I don't think people with oily skin will be happy to use those. But it's something new and interesting and I'm looking forward to reading reviews of people who will try them.

The Body Shop Drops Of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask review

The Body Shop Drops Of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask review

The Body Shop Drops Of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask* is enriched with Edelweiss stem cells which is designed to be left on overnight to leave the skin looking bouncier and feeling replenished. It has unique bouncy/memory shape texture which is rather fun to use. I think it is The Body Shop's take on the famous Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask and although it's only £1 cheaper than Origins's one, frequent discount codes and promotions mean that you can get The Body Shop pot for a lot less. It comes with a spatula, but I don't use it to apply it on my face, I put it into palm of my hand and then spread gently with my fingers and wait for up to 15 minutes to sink in a little bit before going to sleep. In the morning I wake up with my skin feeling silky, smooth and soft. I love it!

Lulu Guinness Pewter Snakeskin Lips Clutch Bag

Lulu Guinness Pewter Snakeskin Lips Clutch Bag
Lulu Guinness Pewter Snakeskin Lips Clutch Bag

Bargain of the century alert! Casually strolling I spotted a lips clutch bag in the window of the charity shop. The price wasn't visible, so I walked in and asked (at this point I already spotted "LG"logo on the zipper, so I knew it must be original Lulu Guinness bag) and it turned out it was only £7.99! Can you imagine?! Adrenaline pumping in my veins I returned hour later with cash and ready to pick up my brand new bag! I did some digging on Google and it's Lulu Guinness Pewter Snakeskin Lips Clutch Bag from one of their previous collections. I wanted to have my very own Lulu Guinness lips clutch bag ever since I saw one in Selfridges for the first time... I must admit that this is not *the* shade I'd normally pick up, but for £7.99 it's an amazing bargain and I actually quite like it now - I think it'll go beautifully with any of my little black dresses I have lurking in the closet. I still want to get pink or red some day, but for now I am very happy with my purchase - especially since I never ever get lucky in charity shops!

What's your latest bargain of the century?

NAILS: Essie hubby for dessert, Essie, nail polish, nails, NOTD, swatches

I continue my love affair with pastel Essie nail polishes. hubby for dessert is a delicious sheer candied lilac from this year's bridal collection. It's very sheer, so I'd recommend applying at least two coats (I'm wearing three on the swatches above). It's simply gorgeous and I absolutely love it! Whether you're a bride-to-be or not, you simply need to get it - so classy and chic and I just know I can wear this shade wherever and whenever and I will have perfect manicure.

Did you pick up any new Essie nail polishes lately?

The Body Shop haul - repurchases

The Body Shop haul

I recently made an use of the amazing 40% off discount code and made a little order at The Body Shop. I went straight for my favourites and some fruity scents - perfect for spring and summer. I need to get some bodycare action going!

The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil (review) is my Holy Grail product and I will repurchase it forever and I am praying to beauty gods every day for The Body Shop never to stop making it! It's so gentle on the skin, does an amazing job of removing all makeup, dirt and impurities and has a gorgeous subtle scent. I also love the pump bottle which is very handy and makes it easy to get the exact amount of product I want (unlike The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter where I always pick up too much of a product).

The Body Shop Vineyard Peach Body Butter is another repurchase. I tried this range two years ago (review) and I just love the scent of it - not too sweet, very uplifting and perfect for this time of year. This is also first body butter which I can say I completely finished scraping it to the last drop. Also, I think the formula is slightly different to standard body butter - it's more light and sinks into the skin incredibly fast.

The Body Shop Vineyard Peach Body Mist is a new product for me. I tried other scents from the range and they're lovely (I recommend Pink Grapefruit one for those early mornings when you need some waking up to do and don't have time for an espresso) and since I tried Vineyard Peach body butter, shower gel and lip gloss I knew I'm gonna love this one too. It's refreshing, fruity and I'm very glad I got it!

The Body Shop Mango Body Whip took care of my skin during winter (review) and I just had to get another bottle of it when I run out. It feels very soft on the skin, the pump makes it easy to apply fuss-free and the smell is incredible - just like fresh mangoes - and I love using it for my fake tan upkeep regime.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Blemish Gel is also new to me. I tried few Tea Tree products over the years (review) and I am a huge fan of Tea Tree Oil, but it's rather messy to apply (and when I dab it onto the cotton pad most of the product sinks in and it defies the purpose). With this product it's very easy, I just whip out the applicator and I can be 100% precise. I like the gel formula too which means I can leave it to do its magic overnight without worry.

Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection brushes

Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection brushes, Real Techniques 301 Flat Contour brush, Real Techniques 101 Triangle Foundation brush, beauty, brushes, make up, Real Techniques, review,

I am a huge fan of Real Techniques brushes (who isn't?!) and I solely use them together with The Body Shop brushes in my makeup routine. My main reason is that they are cruelty-free and don't have any animal hair and they deliver excellent results. So of course I was very excited to see a new Bold Metals Collection with gold, rose gold and silver metallic finish and the same wonderful quality and luxurious feel.

Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection brushes, Real Techniques 301 Flat Contour brush, Real Techniques 101 Triangle Foundation brush, beauty, brushes, make up, Real Techniques, review,

Real Techniques 301 Flat Contour brush*
Soft and very dense bristles and luxurious feel make it my current favourite contour brush. The weight in the handle makes it really easy to control the brush and on application I can achieve a very precise contour. I use it with both cream and powder products and it works well with both. What I love about it is that it is not too thin, so I can easily blend the product and get a nice finish.

Real Techniques 101 Triangle Foundation brush*
This unique brush has triple function: the flat edge covers large areas of the face, the angled edges contour around the eyes and nose and the tip spot covers blemishes. It can be used with liquid and powder foundations and is truly multifunctional. I really like the density of the bristles, which are soft as ever and pick the right amount of product.

La Montaña First Light candle

La Montaña First Light candle, candles, review,

I absolutely love a good candle, there's nothing better than to lit it up in the evening and relax with the current favourite book, TV show or to play some card games. I love discovering new candles and fragrances too and although I like mainstream brands like Yankee Candle and Jo Malone, I love to support less-known and family businesses.

La Montaña was founded by Cassandra and Jonathan who decided to move from London to peaceful Spanish mountain village. And through their candles they aim to fill your home with warm fragrances of the Mediterranean. Their first candle First Light* was inspired by those peaceful mornings when everything is waking up and the clean mountain air is sweet aromas of herbs and breeze. It is full of wild mountain herbs like fennel, bergamot, rosemary, mountain pepper, and rockrose. Doesn't it sound wonderful? It is a completely unique blend and I simply love it!

All La Montaña candles are burning for at least 40 hours, include a high percentage of natural and essential oils and are hand-poured by artisan candlemakers. I also love their aesthetic appearance with unique label in the style of a nostalgic 1930’s travel poster. If you are unsure about any of the scents you can request some samples which are packed in an air-tight bag, so I can assure you that they really do smell and you can pick your ideal one!

La Montaña First Light candle, candles, review,

You can get La Montaña candles at www.lamontana.co.uk and there are currently four in the range: First Light, Galán de Noche (jasmine, wild rose, orange blossom, and ylang yang), Winter Oranges (Valencia orange, cinnamon, red apple, and clove) and newest addition to the range Alfredo’s Café (coffee, brandy, and black tobacco, laced with leather and incense) which I think is next on my list. I think for the price (RRP £35) it's great to support some independent business and leave your home smelling like Spanish holidays.

Mademoiselle-Lala.com is 5!

Mademoiselle-Lala.com is 5 today! I still can't quite believe it myself and it feels really surreal that I wrote my blog for five years now - that's half of a decade! Five years ago I decided to set up my own blog after reading and following few for a while and wanting to share my thoughts on nail polish, makeup, fashion trends and all things beauty. I never knew in a million years that I will keep on blogging and that I will meet so many people and friends for life.

I got some amazing opportunities from blogging, been to some awesome places and have a chance to review some products even before they hit store's shelves - that's so wonderful and I'm loving every minute of it. It's sometimes hard not to compare yourself with others and wishing you'd done something differently, but on this day I am simply proud of myself that I persisted with blogging even though sometimes I was feeling low, didn't have time or was bored.

I just want to thank each and every person who reads Mademoiselle-Lala.com, comments on the posts, chats to me on Twitter, likes my posts on Facebook and Instagram. It really means a lot to me to know that someone, somewhere appreciates my effort and hard work. So thank you from the bottom of my heart and see you tomorrow for a brand new review!

P.S. Also don't forget about my worldwide GIVEAWAY where you can win £150 Lookfantastic voucher - just a little thank you to all of my readers. :)

Make Up For Ever is coming to Debenhams!

Make Up For Ever coming to Debenhams!, Make Up For Ever Artist Plexi-Gloss Lip Lacquer in 209 Fuchsia Pink, Make Up For Ever Pro Bronze Fusion in 20M, Make Up For Ever Pro Bronze Fusion Kabuki (136 Straight & Wavy), Make Up For Ever, make up, beauty, review, brushes, bronzer, lip gloss,

The wait for British beauty aficionados and makeup fanatics is finally over - cult brand Make Up For Ever is coming to Debenhams! I tried few products from it over the years (foundation and Mist & Fix spray) since it is freely available in Sephora in Poland. I liked both, but since they were rather hard to get in the UK, I got some other products after I run out of them. But cry no more, with the arrival of spring, there's arrival of new makeup brand in town!

At a recent Debenhams beauty event showcasing upcoming spring and summer launches was a huge Make Up For Ever stand full of colourful lip glosses, lipsticks and eyeshadows. I was also lucky to receive three products to try on at home and I'm very impressed with them.

Make Up For Ever Pro Bronze Fusion in 20M* is a revolutionary bronzer with gel technology making it smooth and creamy to the touch and giving perfect 'no makeup-makeup' look since it doesn't look powdery. It's also waterproof, so perfect for upcoming summer and there are matte luminous and softly iridescent shades and finishes - so something for everyone. Make Up For Ever Pro Bronze Fusion Kabuki (136 Straight & Wavy)* brush is perfect tool to apply aforementioned Pro Bronze Fusion bronzer or any other powder products from the Pro Fusion range. It picks up just the right amount of product and blends it perfectly. I like the flat wooden bottom too.

Make Up For Ever Artist Plexi-Gloss Lip Lacquer in 209 Fuchsia Pink* is one of dazzling 35 shades of lip glosses designed to give extreme gloss and comfort on the lips. This Fuchsia Pink shade has amazing colour payoff and although nude shades are rather sheer (as it's usually the case), they're still strong enough to layer up and get some colour. The formula consists of 360° reflective shine beads and a high gloss vinyl finish while Plexi-Color technology provides long-lasting finish. What's also very unique about this lip gloss is that it has SuperFlex Applicator to cover the lip with one easy stroke and the tip features a small "glass reservoir" to collect the perfect amount of lip lacquer. I have to admit it really does help and I never take too much product - which is especially important with this strong shade.

You better start writing down your Make Up For Ever wishlist and saving your pennies!

MAC Cinderella Royal Ball lipstick review + swatches, beauty, lipstick, MAC, make up, review,

Oh MAC you've done me proud with your Cinderella Collection. You may remember how excited I was when the information about the products was first released, so imagine my distraught when I went to MAC's flagship store on Friday only to learn what the entire collection was sold out 10 minutes after the doors opened! Disappointment was an understatement, I seriously wanted to cry. So on Saturday morning I was ready to stalk the remaining bits and pieces from the collection and went to my local Fenwick store which has MAC concession stand. I was in luck, they still had a couple of lipsticks and so Royal Ball was mine.

Encased in the most gorgeous light lavender blue packaging shimmering like a gossamer, is a beautiful peachy lipstick, fit for a princess. It's described as a shimmering 'fleshy pink' with a lustre finish. It goes on fairly sheer, but you can build it up to your fancy and still look natural and pretty. I simply love it and I am so happy I got it, my MAC lipstick collection wouldn't be the same without it!

Have you managed to grab anything from MAC Cinderella Collection?

You know well that I love unicorns and anything unicorn-related! They are just so cute I can't resist! So when I spotted these two things on ASOS recently, I promptly made an order. I've been after Small Unicorn Jewellery Dish ever since I saw it in Urban Outfitters ages ago. It's a perfect place to rest my wedding band, display some jewellery and high-end makeup. I think it's also perfect to make Essie nail polishes arrangement at my bedside table. I also got possibly the most adorable slippers ever! New Look Unicorn White Slippers were £10.99 which I personally think is a complete steal since I saw similar ones going for £19.99+ on the web! They have padded and soft finish and embroidered unicorn motif with glitter horn - it doesn't get better than this! They keep my feet warm, cosy and are perfect companion.

He-Shi Overnight Ageless Tanning Balm review

He-Shi Overnight Ageless Tanning Balm review, beauty, fake tan, He-Shi, review,
He-Shi Overnight Ageless Tanning Balm review, beauty, fake tan, He-Shi, review,

You may well know that He-Shi is my favourite tanning brand. There is a new addition to the range which launched on the 1st of April - Overnight Ageless Tanning Balm*. It is a luxurious gradual tan made especially for the face. It has some anti-aging and skin-firming ingredients like Jojoba Protein, Hylauronic Acid and Almond Oil and can smooth the appearance of some fine lines and wrinkles. But the main thing about it is that it works great as a tanner. I leave it on my clean face overnight - just as the name suggests (you need to avoid contact with water for 6-8 hours when the balm develops) - and I wake up to a really healthy and natural glow. Of course if you prefer your tan a little bit darker, you can apply a second layer or top it up more often (I usually do it every 3 days). (RRP £22.50)

NAILS: Illamasqua nail polish in Speckle, review, swatches

Many moons ago Illamasqua released their Imperfection Collection which - as the name suggests - was all about embracing and celebrating your imperfections. Amazing statement and amazing makeup to go with it. The range of their nail polishes was definitely my favourite thing and it was quickly copied by other brands like Models OWN and Barry M. Illamasqua Speckle nail varnish is described as "specked lilac" and I thought it would be a perfect choice for my Easter manicure this year! It reminds me about Mini Eggs so much and looks very cute on the nails. I love the quality of Illamasqua nail polishes - they are always easy to apply and last absolute ages. I wanted a fuss-free manicure since we're on a road trip this holiday weekend and I definitely got one!

Are you a fan of speckled nail polishes?

New The Body Shop Vitamin E skincare products

New The Body Shop Vitamin E skincare products, beauty, review, skincare, The Body Shop, The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil, The Body Shop Vitamin E Ice Cube

Cult product by now, The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil* is a genius innovation which combines the power of a serum and oil and recharge your skin with moisture overnight. It has non-greasy and fast-absorbing formula and neat dropper dispenser, so you can easily measure the amount of product you want to use and it's also a very hygienic solution. I've been having few dry patches on my skin lately and I felt it was looking rather dull, but this serum definitely tried to help me to get it back on track. However, as with other moisturisers from Vitamin E range (except Aqua Boost Sorbet) my skin broke out really bad when using it. It's so annoying! I'm not really allergic to any beauty products and I don't have sensitive skin, but there must be one ingredient here which my skin is not happy about and even though I tried to love Serum so much.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Ice Cube* is a brand-new addition to the range and in essence it's refreshing anti-fatigue eye stick. In one gentle sweep, it instantly revives and refreshes the eye area to fight signs of tiredness caused by dryness. It is very gentle on the eye area, with a non-sticky texture and easy-glide application and it's mini-size makes it perfect to pop into a handbag. I've been spending a lot of time lately in front of the monitor at work and at home and this is definitely a saviour for my tired eyes. Thankfully, I didn't suffer any reaction from using it.

Have you tried any of these?

EcoTools Complexion Collection of makeup brushes & a new hairbrush

New EcoTools makeup brushes & a hairbrush, beauty, brushes, EcoTools, hair, make up, review, EcoTools Complexion Collection, Mattifying Finish Brush, Skin Perfecting Brush, Eye Perfecting Brush, Correcting Concealer Brush, EcoTools Ultimate Air Dryer

I have never tried EcoTools brushes, although I know they are firm favourites of many bloggers. I was just stuck in a rut with my Real Techniques and The Body Shop brushes, so never really ventured outside my comfort zone. But since EcoTools is also cruelty-free I was eager to test them out.

EcoTools Complexion Collection is a makeup-skincare hybrid line designed to improve skin's health, maximise natural beauty and aid common skincare concerns. There are four new makeup brushes with a trademark bamboo handle and quirky metal print.

New EcoTools makeup brushes & a hairbrush, beauty, brushes, EcoTools, hair, make up, review, EcoTools Complexion Collection, Mattifying Finish Brush, Skin Perfecting Brush, Eye Perfecting Brush, Correcting Concealer Brush, EcoTools Ultimate Air Dryer New EcoTools makeup brushes & a hairbrush, beauty, brushes, EcoTools, hair, make up, review, EcoTools Complexion Collection, Mattifying Finish Brush, Skin Perfecting Brush, Eye Perfecting Brush, Correcting Concealer Brush, EcoTools Ultimate Air Dryer

Mattifying Finish Brush* was developed to control shine and oily skin all day. It has a duo-fiber design to create a flawless finish with either pressed or loose powder by blending long, straight bristles and short, wavy bristles. The short bristles pick up the perfect amount of product, while the long bristles disperse product evenly and smoothly for a complete control and coverage. It's a densely packed brush and a rather multitasker - I've been also using it to apply a sweep of bronzer and tapered edge is perfect for applying blush to my cheekbones. (RRP £7.99)

Skin Perfecting Brush* is rather unique since it was specifically designed to smooth and even application of BB/CC creams and tinted moisturisers. Its contoured edge is ideal for buffing the product into the skin, around the nose and under the eyes for a perfect coverage. Once again, it is also a multitasker and can be used for contouring under the cheekbones and jawlines with a cream or powder bronzer. (RRP £6.99)

Eye Perfecting Brush* has uniquely cut, rounded tip bristles that mimic the shape of a finger for an easy application under and around the eyes without tugging the skin or transferring oils from the hands. It blends perfectly any concealer you may have and helps to cover the darkest of under eye circles. It also doubles as a concealer brush for liquid or powder products to use around the nose, as an eyeshadow blending brush and highlighter to the brow bone and top of the cheekbone - a truly must-have makeup brush! (RRP £5.99)

Correcting Concealer Brush* is a rather big brush for a concealer and I was initially apprehensive to use it. I was very wrong though - it picks right amount of product and because it's big and dense, I can immediately buff and blend it in with an ease. It can be also used as a smudge brush for blending eyeliner into the lash line. (RRP £4.99)

New EcoTools makeup brushes & a hairbrush, beauty, brushes, EcoTools, hair, make up, review, EcoTools Complexion Collection, Mattifying Finish Brush, Skin Perfecting Brush, Eye Perfecting Brush, Correcting Concealer Brush, EcoTools Ultimate Air Dryer

EcoTools Ultimate Air Dryer* hairbrush is a unique brush specially designed to dry hair 40% faster with less heat damage and faster prep time. It has lightweight bamboo handle which feels comfortable in my hand, repurposed aluminium ferrules and cruelty-free bristles to distribute hair's natural moisturisers for ultimate shine. I love using it when I am in a hurry - it really speeds up the process of drying my hair and I daresay even gives it a little bit volume. (RRP £10.99)
