I've briefly mentioned Soap & Glory Arch De Triumph Eyebrow Shaper & Highlighter in my recent drugstore haul post here. I am not a fan of writing negative reviews, because there are so many more fun things to do and write about, but I just really didn't like this product and for the first time in ages I feel like I wasted some hard-earned cash. I admit it was a spur of a moment decision to get it and the main appeal was that the highlighting end looks similar to Benefit High Brow. My current eyebrow shaper has finished, I like Soap & Glory products, so I thought I'd get on with this one perfectly.
Sadly, I just didn't get on with this one at all. The brow shaper shade is OK, dark brown and blended with my black brows (I have dark blonde hair so the difference of shades was evening itself out). But the formula is really hard to draw with, the tip dries really quickly and it is not smooth sailing at all. What is more, it has some shimmer in it! I am all about makeup experimenting, but I don't want glittery eyebrows every single day. I honestly thought at the beginning that they made some mistake with my batch and the shimmer was supposed to be in the highlighting end... Then I read some reviews and I know now that it is just how they do it. Bizarre! The highlighting end is a little bit smoother, but still hard to blend in (it just 'sits' on my skin) and it's really white. The crayon looks like it has some pink undertones, but in reality it is white and just doesn't work. I guess Benefit High Brow is the one to try.
There are other Soap & Glory brow products in the Archery Range, so I am planning to give them a go sometime in the future - have you tried any of those?
