Lately my skin has been acting out a little bit, but thankfully I got La Roche-Posay Effaclar Anti-Blemish System* in the mail and have been using it for the last couple of weeks. I incorporated it into my skincare routine, but I don't use it every single day - my skin is normal and prone to dryness and from my experience no matter how gentle is blemish-fighting formula it can still dry out my skin, so I approach every product with caution. Saying that, using  Effaclar Anti-Blemish System hasn't dried out my skin and didn't make it sensitive, so I am extremely happy about that. What is more, it helped me to fight off any pesky blemishes and made sure my skin was clear and spot-free.

The three-step routine consists of cleansing, toning and correcting/hydrating. I start the routine using La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying Gel Cleanser which helps to reduce excess of sebum and successfully removes bacteria from my skin which may lead to spots. Then I follow up with La Roche-Posay Effaclar Clarifying Toner which helps to reduce the appearance of my pores and gets my skin mattified and smoother. Last, but not least, is the time for La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo [+] Anti-Blemish Cream which is my favourite product from the bunch. It helps to fight blemishes and unclogs pores and helps to reduce the appearance of red marks when at the same time giving my skin extra boost of hydration.

I think the set is perfect for anyone suffering from blemishes who wants a steady and reliable skincare routine and maybe also dip their toe in the world of French pharmacy hero brands.

Barry M autumn nail polishes

I won't deny that a pretty nail polish makes me weak in the knees. Especially when the seasons change and I can always justify getting few new bottles! I spied a new Barry M collection some time ago on a couple of blogs and I thought it would be perfect for autumn! There are a couple of more shades available like grey and mustard, but these are not really my cup of tea, so I settled for red hues which remind me of cripsy leaves and hot chocolate. Paprika is a deep dark orange colour and something completely unique to my nail polish collection. I think it will be perfect to use for some foxy nail art too! Chilli is a dark wine shade and I see myself wearing it a lot in the next couple of months. It's red, but toned-down and I can always sparkle-it-up with some glitter. Cocoa is also my favourite - a deep chocolate colour which tends to look black when its dark outside, but in the sunshine it is absolutely lovely. I think I can also jazz it up with some gold glitter on the tips. All of these are from Gelly Hi-Shine range which guarantees an extra shine and longwear. I must admit I had some issues with few of nail polishes from this range, but as of right now, none of these chipped too early and they look great.

Which shade is your favourite?

I am always looking for a perfect red pout and I can't even remember how many lip products I own in this shade. Even though I have many favourites, I am still looking for more - girl can never have too many lipsticks, right? I am a huge fan of Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balms and decided to take a plunge and get this statement shade called Standout. It's perfect! I absolutely love this shade, deep red colour with a hint of blue undertone and ever since the first application it's currently my favourite red lipstick. The formula of Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balms is surprisingly moisturising although I make sure to always apply a lip balm beforehand anyway. It doesn't give me perfect matte lips though - I think only Lime Crime Velvetine Liquid Lipstick in Red Velvet was able to achieve that up to date, but it's still on a matte side and perfect for all the seasons!

What is your favourite red lipstick?

I have been always admiring Too Faced Sweetheart Blushes, but sadly from afar - that price tag was too big! So when I saw Makeup Revloution I ♡ Makeup Blushing Hearts I squealed with excitement - it seems like an exact copy hiding a beautiful baked blusher in a heart-shaped box. After a little pondering I decided on Candy Queen of Hearts shade, but I set my sights also on another shade - Peachy Keen, which looks dreadful on Makeup Revloution site, but very lovely in real life. Coming back to this blusher - how cute does it look?! And the shades are so nice too! The pigmentation is good and they blend together really nice. The middle shade can be used as a soft highlighter too and I actually like to use all the shades separately rather than blending them together - thankfully the size of the blusher enables it. For £4.99 I'm definitely investing in more of them!

Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide* joins Smooth Finish Foundation Powder to create a new foundation pillar for Laura Mercier. There are 24 shades available and yesterday I was matched with my perfect one - Shell. The formula is very light and easy to wear with a powder-finish, so I expect people with oily skin will especially love it. What is really unusual about this foundation is that it has a bi-phase formula meaning you have to shake it vigorously for at least 10 seconds and then tap on the surface to get a fresh dose of colour. I like to apply my foundation using my fingertips, because it helps me to achieve natural effect (heat from my hands literally melts foundation into my skin) and this Fluide is perfect for that. It gives light coverage - goes together with the Laura Mercier's philosophy around The Flawless Face, concept that making skin look perfect is the first and foremost important thing a woman can do to achieve a great look by enhancing natural beauty and blurring imperfections rather than getting full on face make up. All in all I really like this foundation, it's comfortable to wear, gives me a flawless natural matte finish and is long-wear, humidity-proof and sweat-proof.

Vogue's Fashion Night Out with Superdry

Yesterday I attended Vogue's Fashion Night Out with Superdry at their London flagship store located at Regent Street. One of the main guests was TV Presenter Lilah Parsons giving styling advice and sharing her favourite pieces from the collection and there was also live music by The Fireflies. I also got a chance to see a preview of the new collection and it's really cool!

I always associated Superdry with more sporty type of clothes - I actually was lucky to get Superdry Everest Slim Polar Coat which I will definitely feature in an outfit post when winter will come (it's just so warm and snuggly!) - but seeing a sequin skirts and tops actually showed me a different side to this store. There is a selection of a lot of cool jumpers and jackets with appliqués, mini skirts and tailored shirts with fun prints like silver stars or polka dots - I was seriously impressed!

I mentioned Makeup Revloution Ultra Blush and Contour Palette in Sugar and Spice recently in my haul post and I've been reaching for it ever since. I love how versatile it is having 8 shades of baked bronzer, blusher and even highlighter in it. I don't own that many matte blushers (apparently I prefer to leave a trail of glitter where I walk), so the fact that this palette is made up of most of them is definitely appealing. All of the shades are surprisingly pigmented - I only need to dab my brush slightly in the pan - and even though I was wary of using the two highlighters, I am learning how to use them to their full potential and my advantage. The packaging is made out of cheap plastic, but it is sturdy and has a huge mirror - something I am a fan of.

New handbag for new season - Marc B Kristen Bag

I was on a lookout for a new autumn/winter bag for quite a while but didn't really like anything in stores. I knew I had to be black (I got bored of my Kardashian Kollection one), not too big and not too small either - so it could fit all of my essentials including my beloved Kindle - and preferably waterproof - rainy London days are coming. As I said, nothing really took my fancy when I looked on ZARA or Topshop on-line stores, so I decided to look on ASOS. I came across this Marc B Kristen Bag reduced from £45 to £23 and even though I suspected the strap will be too long, I decided to order it anyway. Well, my suspicions were confirmed, but my wonderful husband got the strap shortened and I've immediately fallen in love with it. I just love how sleek and sophisticated it looks, that it has a couple of compartments and leopard print on the inside! It also has a lovely clasp and magnets on both sides to ensure safety. I am very happy that I got it and I know it will match all of my outfits. I'll definitely keep my eye on the Marc B sale from now on.

WHAT I WORE TODAY: polka dot jeans

top* - Very, jeans - H&M, shoes - Primark,
necklace* - Very, bag - H&M, rings - H&M,
nails - The Body Shop Colour Crush Nail Colours in Rosy Cheeks

I wore this outfit on the second day of London Fashion Week. I was debating wearing heels, but the sensible and my most comfortable Primark flats won in the end - I did some running around and still wanted to get some street style snaps on the way. Also, I wore my brand new H&M jeans and I think I've fallen in love with them even more! This is the first pair of H&M jeans which fits me perfectly and isn't too long! I have been on a hunt for polka dot jeans for years and I am so happy I finally have them in my wardrobe! I teamed them up with the new Very top which has a very cute collar and a lovely pastel blue shade. I also decided on a statement necklace and a vivid blue clutch bag - basically all shades of blue.

So if you want to get any Urban Decay Naked palette, new YSL Fusion Ink Foundation or Clarins Double Serum (among many others) for less, be quick since this offer ends on 23rd September. I am actually thinking of getting Nars Matte Multiple which has been on my wishlist for a very long time, and aforementioned YSL foundation - what would be on your wishlist?

WHAT I WORE TODAY: monochorome + neon

dress - ASOS, shoes - Topshop,
necklace - New Look, bag - H&M

This is the outfit I wore on the first day of London Fashion Week (see my report on the backstage action at Ones To Watch fashion show here). I decided to wear my monochrome dress from ASOS - it is really beautiful and has a lovely texture and creates an optical illusion. I didn't want it to be boring, so I added some neon accents like statement necklace from New Look and a clutch bag from H&M. Lastly, in the spur of the moment I added my Topshop Alvin boots and I must admit this is the bit I regret most - the day turned out to be hot and sunny and my feet were simply boiling in them! Still, I managed to snap some street style fashion photos around Somerset House.

Today I went to get another dose of backstage action at Merit Award fashion show. The label Gyo Yuni Kimchoe is made up of a designer couple and follow the philosophy of 'Respect of life and nature' which stems from the couple's care about environmental problems, social issues and animal cruelty. The make up was quite different to what I've seen so far - very bold and colourful - it went perfectly with the collection which can be described as military gear meets garden - I know, not something ordinary, but the models were carrying AK-47 with flowers on them, so I guess nothing surprises me.

Face was prepped with Moisture Foundation SPF 15 to even out the skin. There were three eye looks: Green (Colour Crush Eyeshadow in Fig Leaf), Copper (Colour Crush Eyeshadow in Golden Cinnamon) and Grey (Colour Crush Eyeshadow in Steel My Heart) and all of them had Big And Curvy Mascara applies with Mint Lip Gloss all over the lid. Colour Crush Eyeshadow in Chocolate Linger was also used to contour the cheeks. On the lips make up artists used a hint of aforementioned Moisture Foundation SPF 15, followed by Colour Crush Lipstick in Nude Allure and topped with Love Gloss For Lips. The nail polish shade is from the brand new The Body Shop Colour Crush Nail Colours range, launching very soon, and is called Gorgeous Grey.

Here comes this time of the year - London Fashion Week! This season, just like the couple of past ones I was lucky to be invited backstage with The Body Shop who is official sponsor of the fashion shows at Fashion Scout. Today I went to see first-hand havoc behind Ones To Watch fashion show. Four designers: Min Wu, Cassandra Verity Green, Youjia Jin and Keiko Nishiyama presented their work on the catwalk debut for SS15. All the collections were very different from sea depths to futuristic and simple, but the thing that connected them all was make up.

Inspiration behind was a modern female with wet texture on the skin. Using earthy colours make up artists created youthful looks with a moder edge. The skin was prepped using Aloe Soothing Moisture Lotion and follower by All-In-One BB Cream mixed with a Radiant Highlighter to achieve a perfect dewy skin. To add some contouring Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder was used and a gentle swipe of Brush On Radiance all over the face. Brow & Lash Gel was used on both brows and lashes. On the eyelids was Shimmer Waves in Coral and Mint Lip Gloss, while Colour Crush Eyeshadow in Sugar Gaze was in the inner corners. I really liked the fact that Lip Gloss was also used on the eyelids since it created a perfect glowy and radiant face. Colour Crush Lipstick in Nude Allure and once again Mint Lip Gloss was on the lips - as you can see everything looked very natural and simple, almost as if the models were going barefaced on the catwalk.
