WHAT I WORE TODAY: new floral shirt

shirt - Primark, jeans - Dorothy Perkins, socks - Primark, shoes - Topshop MADAM,
necklace - Primark

I went to Primark last week to look for the shoes I've spotted at Primark Spring/Summer 2014 Press Day and although the shoes are still not not available, I've managed to get few bits and bobs, including this amazing floral shirt and cute pink frilly socks. I absolutely love the print of this shirt - so colourful, nice and spring-appropriate. I also picked out a similar one in mint shade, so I can't wait to do another outfit post featuring that one soon. I've also bought a 3-pack of frilly socks in pink, blue and cream shades - so perfect to go for with these Topshop MADAM boots, my Topshop Alvin boots and Nike Air Max shoes.

I wish I could get a credit for painting my nails like this, but sadly this beautiful creation is not mine. I was happy to get this amazing manicure at Next Summer Press Day this Wednesday and it is a replica of one of the prints that you can look for in the shops soon - how cute is that? The ladies used a Sinful Colors nail polish in a blue shade, then topped with OPI Ridge Filler, which has a milky and creamy texture, so it muted the vibrant shade of blue to give this effect of an aged porcelain. The details were painted with a - surprise, surprise - white acrylic paint using various brushes and dotting tools to give different effects. Then just a swipe of a top coat and few drops of OPI Drip Dry Lacquer Drying Drops and I was good to go! I seriously need to get these Drying Drops, they cut the time of waiting for your nails to dry and they contain jojoba and vitamin E - super nourishing for your cuticles!

First Lime Crime haul + more!

I had my eye on Lime Crime cosmetics for the longest time. How can I resist the pretty shades, quirky names and the most amazing logo ever - an unicorn? Thankfully, CutECOsmetics recently had a sale, so armed with some discount I decided to do some damage to my bank account. I could easily get a lot more, especially a couple of more lipsticks and another Velvetine Liquid Lipstick in Suedeberry, but I've settled for this trio for now. Of course I couldn't stop myself from rummaging around the website and few other bits landed in my virtual basket. I'll do proper reviews in due time, but for now I am leaving you with my CutECOsmetics haul:

Lime Crime Velvetines Liquid Lipstick in Red Velvet
Lime Crime Candyfuture Lipstick in Airborne Unicorn
Lime Crime Zodiac Cosmetic Glitter in Gemini
Badger Company Peppermint & Tea Tree Foot Balm
Badger Company Soothing Shea Butter Cuticle Care
EOS Organic Lip Balm in Pomegranate Raspberry

Do you like my little haul?

NAILS: Illamasqua Kink

NAILS: Illamasqua Kink, Illamasqua, nail polish, nails, NOTD, swatches,

I looked for a perfect shade of dark green nail polish for a long time and when I saw this one in the Illamasqua sale and decided to give it a go. Kink has a matte finish and deep, forest-green hue and comes on rather thick, so only two coats will suffice to cover the nail. It takes a while to dry, but it's worth the wait. I personally prefer for it to be glossy, so I put on Seche Vite Top Coat to seal the deal.

WHAT I WORE TODAY: foxy dress in the spring

jacket - New Look, dress - ASOS, tights - Primark, shoes - Dorothy Perkins,
bag - Primark, necklace - Primark, sunglasses - Ray Ban

My foxy dress makes a spring come back! I just can't get enough of it, it is so cute! I wore it on Saturday last week for a walk through Green Park and Hyde Park and some daffodil-spotting. We later went to the pub for some lunch and ended up watching rugby match - I love days like this when our plan don't necessary work out but it doesn't mean we don't have fun, there is so much to do and explore in London! The weather was simply beautiful and I was so grateful that it was warm and the sun was shining every single day. This weekend I am going on a small break to Oxford - I've never been there and can't wait to see it all - if you have any recommendations in terms of tourist things, food and shops please share!

I wish I'd gotten The Body Shop Early-Harvest Raspberry Special Edition last week to include in the post about my spring bodycare products, but not everything is lost and I still want to dedicate a special post to it. I think raspberry collection has a yearly occurrence in The Body Shop because I distinctly remember getting both Body Scrub and Body Butter a few years back and I have been loving it. So imagine my delight when these products arrived on my doorstep few days ago!

This time, The Body Shop is releasing Raspberry range on 15th April under the Early-Harvest name. What is so special about it? It is packed with early-harvested raspberries to preserve their skin-boosting antioxidants, so there is more goodness to your body. Fruity, indulgent and moisturising, the products offer a specially picked batch of raspberries and well-known and loved Body Butter hydrating power. The collection includes Body Scrub* (RRP 12.50), Body Butter* (RRP £13) and Shower Gel (RRP £4). There are also two brand-new additions: Body Lotion (RRP £8) and Eau De Toilette (RRP £8.50) which I literally can't wait to get my hands on since I am a huge fan of raspberry scent - I think it's definitely going to be my summer fragrance! I can assure you that all of the products smell good enough to eat and with the Body Scrub looking like a raspberry jam and Body Butter like a raspberry mousse it's actually really hard not to taste them!

Do you like raspberries? Will you be getting something from this range?

The Body Shop Colour Crush Shine Lipsticks* (available from 15th April, RRP £10) are a brand new addition to the Colour Crush family of lipsticks and eyeshadows. These three beautiful shades are enriched with luscious cherry-seed oil, marula oil and sheer pigments for a stunning gloss effect with vibrant colour. The Community Fair Trade marula oil is sourced from the ripe fruit of the sacred marula tree and The Body Shop sources it from the Eudafano Women's Co-operative in Namibia, which helps almost 2000 women to earn a fair income and also gives them a sense of independence, business management and confidence. These three shades Sunset Romance, Fuschia Flirt and Magenta Be Rouge are simply perfect for spring and summer with the vivid colours to give you statement lips and glossy shine so you don't need to use lip gloss. My absolute favourite is Sunset Romance - so subtle and perfect for every day make up. What is yours?

WHAT I WORE TODAY: Nike Air Max with Zara bag

jacket - New Look, top - Primark, jeans - Dorothy Perkins, shoes - Nike Air Max,
necklace - Primark, bag - ZARA, sunglasses - Ray Ban

I wore this outfit on Sunday for St Patrick's Day parade, but in reality I took my jacket off and only only wore it on the way to the tube station and in the evening - it was just so warm! I chose relaxing jeans and quilted Primark top in grey which has been one of the best purchases of last year. I also took my ZARA Mini City Bag and it was just perfect to carry all my essentials including Kindle and video camera. Yes - I vlogged, so stay tuned for the brand new video (and in the meantime subscribe to my YouTube Channel)! I was planning to upload it yesterday but I was busy this week and editing takes quite a long time.

My spring skincare

It's time to cover my spring skincare products! I've accumulated quite a bit of stuff actually which use on daily bases depending on what is the state of my skin and if I need a serious hydration or a lighter approcach. Please let me know if any of your favourites have made my cut.

I am still faithful to my beloved Elemis Sensitive Cleansing Wash which I've mentioned on the blog many times before (review) and it is absolute dream - it's gentle, perfect for my skin that is prone to dryness, smells amazing and it's not tested on animals. I am following my routine with PIXI Glow Tonic - much loved by bloggers and I can understand the hype - gentle and alcohol-free it gives my skin an extra boost of much needed ingredients, especially after a long day out and travelling on the tube full of dust and dirt. My go-to face scrub is Boots Botanics Purifying Face Scrub - I have repurchased it many times before - it buffs away impurities with an ease and isn't too harsh on my skin.

My day creams currently are NIVEA Daily Essentials Light Moisturising Day Cream For Dry & Sensitive Skin (review) and The Body Shop Nutriganics Smoothing Day Cream* which I tend to use on the strategic places where first wrinkles are planning to appear.

My night-time routine changes depending on the outcome I want to achieve. I use iconic La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+* when my skin is not looking its best and it really works wonders with redness and imperfection disappearing overnight. I use Love Your Skin Intensive Hydra Gel Moisturiser* and Love Your Skin Brightening & Clarifying Facial Serum* when I am not wearing a heavy make up during the day, so I can use lighter moisturiser at night. These two products work wonders for my skin with its gel, fast-absorbing formula and fresh scent, but regular use can lead to drying out my skin a little. So when I am suffering with some dry patches and dehydration NIVEA Daily Essentials Rich Regenerating Night Cream For Dry & Sensitive Skin (review) comes to my rescue like a knight in a shining armour.

I've also picked up recently two products to take of my eye area. Boots Botanics Hydrating Eye Cream Radiant Youth gives me a boost of radiance and reduces the appearance of my dark circles and Simple Kind To Eyes Revitalising Eye Roll-On was a repurchase - it wakes up my tired eyes (especially when I've been sitting too long in front of a monitor!), reduces puffiness and cools the area - this stuff is seriously addictive!

To remove my make up I am faithful to Bioderma Micelle Solution and I am currently using the one from the Hydrabio range, which is supposed to be extra hydrating, but to be honest I don't see that much of a difference between this one and classic pink Bioderma bottle suited for sensitive skin (review). To remove a heavy eye make up and statement lipstick I go for The Body Shop Camomile Waterproof Eye & Lip Make Up Remover which is super gentle and works like a dream, although I'd prefer if it'd come in a much bigger bottle.

What are your spring-time skincare essentials?

#LoveDenim competition

This is my entry for the Debenhams #LOVEDENIM Competition, where I am creating two mood boards featuring their top denim menswear looks: first one is casual outfit idea for going to a gig at our favourite music venue and the second is my ideal smart dinner date outfit for my husband. Read more T&C here.

For the casual look I've decided to go for classic Levi's 511 jeans but in a lighter shade that usual and a slim fit. I've added this amazing pair of Nike 'Waffle' trainers in grey shade, so they can easily compliment the jeans. As a darker contrast I've chosen navy t-shirt with a fun and colourful circle print with embroidered details from Rocha.John Rocha and Lands' End button polo neck cardigan, also in navy. To make sure my husband will get to the gig on time, I decided to throw in this old-school Rocha.John Rocha brown crocodile embossed strap watch.

For our smart dinner date I've chosen Red Herring black straight leg jeans as a base of an outfit - I think black jeans are such classic and give stylish statement, so you can easily dress them down (with a simple white t-shirt) or up - for example with this Thomas Nash Cream ultimate plain shirt in a cream shade. Jasper Conran navy cotton blazer is completing the look with its elegant and slim collar. I've chosen Dune tan leather brogue boots since I think that this brown shade will compliment black jeans, cream shirt and navy jacket beautifully. My husband is a fan of printed ties, so this Thomas Nash floral tie seemed perfect - and it's purple - in my favourite colour! I also couldn't resist throwing in Rocha.John Rocha black chronograph watch - it's a statement piece in itself!

My spring bodycare

With my accessories and perfume shelf getting spring updates it's time to focus more on my body, so today I am sharing the products which help me to get a spring body revamp. To scrub off flaky winter skin I use Soap & Glory The Scrub Of Your Life that not only smells amazing, but its texture is very light with grit particles having the ideal size to smooth out my skin without being too harsh. In the shower I am currently using a selection of The Body Shop Shower Gels - I simply love these colourful bottles packed with yummy scents! My current favourites are Vineyard Peach (review), Coconut*, Moringa* and Strawberry*. When I am in a hurry and need an extra boot of moisture I use NIVEA In-shower Body Moisturiser For Dry Skin* (review) which means I can use the extra time in the morning to style my hair or make an extra cup of coffee. I also love applying my favourite He-Shi Express Liquid Tan*, which I fully reviewed here (including the before & after photos), and cannot praise it enough - fast-absorbent and perfect shade of the tan! For maintaining my tan and moisturising the body I currently use the following selection of products: The Body Shop English Dawn White Gardenia Body Lotion* which compliments the fragrances perfectly, The Body Shop Coconut Body Butter* on really dehydrated skin days and Dove Purely Pampering Nourishing Lotion which has a light formula which sinks in easily.

What are your spring body revamp necessities?

My spring fragrances

My spring fragrances, perfume, beauty, review, Sarah Jessica Parker, The Body Shop, L'Occitane, Victoria's Secret,
My spring fragrances, perfume, beauty, review, Sarah Jessica Parker, The Body Shop, L'Occitane, Victoria's Secret,

With the new season on the horizon I am not only updating my wardrobe and make up, but I also rearrange my fragrance shelf, so my spring fragrance favourites and some new additions can see the light and I can enjoy them freely, with simply one reach of my hand. Over the years I've established some firm spring fragrance favourites, but this year I've discovered a couple of new scents which I think are worth mentioning.

Sarah Jessica Parker Lovely
I've already reviewed this perfume, but I must stress that it is something I absolutely love and this beautiful bottle which reminds me of a ballet dancer is my must-have when the days are starting to get longer and the sun is shining. The scent is simply lovely, very fresh and I usually go through the bottle so quickly it lasts me until the summer.

Lacoste Eau De Lacoste Sensuelle
It is a brand new fragrance released this March and I have been really enjoying using it for a night out and dinner dates. It has warm and sweet tones thanks to vibrant pink pepper, tart blackcurrant and Turkish rose. It reminds me a little bit of Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy perfume, but it is much more grown-up and a perfect evening fragrance. I also really like the bottle design with the woven-style cap.

The Body Shop Fragrance Mists
They are something I keep buying every few months, especially during infamous 50% sales. From my current stash I can wholeheartedly recommend Pink Grapefruit Body Mist (perfect wake-me-up fragrance, very zesty and fresh with a hint of sugarcane), Atlas Mountain Rose Fragrance Mist (usually I am not a fan of rosy scents, but this one is so subtle, sweet and not too overpowering I simply had to get it) and English Dawn White Gardenia Fragrance Mist* (part of special edition range, which I've reviewed here). The special mention also goes to The Body Shop English Dawn White Gardenia Eau de Toilette* (review) which reminds me of a fresh spring flower bouquet - not overly sweet or too heavy.

L'Occitane Cherry Blossom Eau De Toilette
Cherries are my favourite fruits so no wonder that I am a huge fan of this EDT! I tend to use it all year round, but spring and summer is the time when I simply cannot part with this bottle and tend to spritz myself literally every single day. I love how potent the fragrance actually is and lingers on your skin or scarf for hours.

Victoria's Secret Fragrance Mists
I've never made it a secret that I am a huge fan of these VS products and I have already reviewed quite a couple of them on my blog. From my stash I've chosen these two fragrances: Sheer Love (very fresh with white cotton and luminous pink lily scents) and Love Spell (my absolute favourite thanks to cherry blossom - again! - and peach scents).

What is your favourite spring fragrance? Do you have a signature spring scent?

My spring bags: ZARA Mini City Bag and ASOS Satchel

ZARA Mini City Bag in Light Pink, blog, blogger, photos, fashion, UK fashion, handbag, Spring, Summer, pastel
ZARA Mini City Bag in Light Pink, blog, blogger, photos, fashion, UK fashion, handbag, Spring, Summer, pastel

Another season, another ZARA bag... I think I'm sensing a pattern here! The newest addition to my collection is this ZARA Mini City Bag in Light Pink which I thought would be a perfect bag for spring. I think I will be forever dreaming about Prada Saffiano Lux Small Tote and I was desperately looking for something similar and nothing actually came up (if you spot anything, please, please, please let me know), but this ZARA bag is the nearest thing I saw. Also, my biggest enabler and best blogging friend Julie got one, so that sealed the deal. I absolutely love it! It's not too big or heavy, has a beautiful pale pink shade (but it could have been slightly brighter) and a lot of compartments. The shoulder strap is adjustable and removable, so you can choose whether to carry it on your shoulder or in your hand. The £39.99 price tag will also not leave you weeping, so I think it's the perfect investment for upcoming months.

ASOS Satchel Bag With Scalloped Edge, blog, blogger, photos, fashion, UK fashion, handbag, Spring, Summer, pastel
ASOS Satchel Bag With Scalloped Edge, blog, blogger, photos, fashion, UK fashion, handbag, Spring, Summer, pastel

Another bag which I've bought recently is this ASOS Satchel Bag With Scalloped Edge. I've fallen in love with the beautiful pastel lilac/blue shade and the detailed scalloped trims. It also has adjustable strap and although it is smaller than the ZARA one, it still carries all my essentials like wallet, keys, make up bag, iPhone and sunglasses with an ease. I already wore it in one of my outfit posts if you want to take a look and I can't wait to pair it with my floral jeans and minty jumpers.

Do you like any of these bags? Which one is your favourite?

KIKO Universal Fit Hydrating Foundation review

KIKO Universal Fit Hydrating Foundation review, foundation, KIKO, make up, review, beauty blogger
KIKO Universal Fit Hydrating Foundation review, foundation, KIKO, make up, review, beauty blogger
One of the new products that I've picked at the opening of the new KIKO London store was this KIKO Universal Fit Hydrating Foundation* (RRP £6.90). I am always very wary of trying new foundations, I like to stick with what I know and what works for me, so I usually go for Bourjois or Revlon. But talking to super-friendly sales assistant I was persuaded to go for something new and it seemed an ideal product for me - who doesn't want a perfect coverage and hydration at the same time?

Foundation comes in ten colour shades, so everyone can find their match and I was told to go for shade 05 - Light Beige. It is rather easy to apply with my fingers (that's how I always apply my foundation), but be careful not to apply too much, because it is thick and settles rather quickly, so you may not be able to blend it in easily. You need a small amount to cover the entire face and that's why I don't like that it is not in a pump bottle - I think with this formula pump bottle would be better to dispose a perfect amount of the product.

The other thing I didn't like is that the fact that although it claims to be fragrance free, it does have a distinctive 'beauty product' smell - I am not sure how to describe it, but all I know is that I'm not enjoying it. On the plus side, the coverage is really good and I only needed a slight touch up of concealer in strategic places and gentle dusting with No7 Perfect Light Loose Powder to finish my make up.

Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream and Eye Concealer

Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream and Eye Cream, Bourjois, concealer, foundation, make up, review, beauty, blogger, UK, Bourjois 123 Perfect Colour Correcting Cream, Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Eye Cream Concealer

I think I've found my new favourite CC Cream! After raving about No7 Youthful CC Cream for the past year this Bourjois offering is serious contender to the first place. Bourjois 123 Perfect Colour Correcting Cream promises to fight with fatigue, redness and dark spots thanks to its three colour pigments - respectively in apricot, green and white. Although you cannot see the particles, you can definitely see the results - my face was literally flawless, smooth, radiant and hydrated! I even used it on my bare skin - with no cream or primer and the results were still perfect. I must admit I am seriously impressed. The only problem I've encountered is that because it has light and liquid texture, immediately after opening the tub some of the product spilled and kept on leaking, so the tub is now standing upside down on my make up table. I am still a little bit annoyed though, because this CC Cream is not cheap for such small tub (RRP £9.99) and a lot of the product sadly went to waste.

Together with the CC Cream I decided to get Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Eye Cream since they are both part of the same range. With the new silicone nib which bends under pressure and twist-up applicator it has been my saviour to prevent any dark circles I had. The peachy shade covered the dark circles and the light formula didn't cake or flake. It also brightens up the eyes with illuminating particles - they are very fine and barely detectable, so it gives you a natural look. I apply it by gently squeezing the cream/concealer to my fingertips and gently dabbing and blending with the foundation.

Did you try any of these products?

WHAT I WORE TODAY: first truly warm day of the year

jacket - New Look, dress - ASOS, tights - Primark, shoes - Primark,
necklace - Primark, bag - ASOS, sunglasses - RayBan

Last weekend was truly the warmest day so far in London. On Sunday we took a stroll down to St James's Park with the hope of also going past Buckingham Palace to Green Park, but we never got that far. The allure of sitting on a bench in a sunshine with a fresh ice-cream in hand and surrounded by daffodils (my favourite flowers!) was too good to resist and we've ended up spending whole afternoon in one park. Later we went to Chinatown to get some bubble tea and for a bit of shopping. I still can't believe that I only wore this laid-back New Look jacket and was actually enjoying the warmth of the sun in the park in my ASOS dress. Spring is truly here and I can't wait for it to be truly settled. I also wore my new cute flats from Primark - I saw them popping on other blogs and I am so glad I snapped mine - and also this beautiful lilac bag from ASOS - it will be ideal for upcoming months and it goes perfectly with my pastel-shade wardrobe.
