A while ago Bourjois has released its Happy Light collection and I've bought foundation, concealer and one of the primers from the range. Recently, I got the other primer in my Beauty Haul (see what else I got) and thought it's going to be fun to review and compare them together. I must say that I love using primers, my usual go-to primers are Laura Mercier Foundation Primer for a night out and Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer for Dry & Sensitive Skin for staying in and make up on a budget.
Bourjois Happy Light Matte Serum Primer
This primer is suited for normal to combination skin and has a matte effect. This is the original primer which I've bought and a rare occurrence for me, since I always go for radiance products to give my face this extra glow. However, I thought that it would be nice to have a matte product for a change and that is why I decided to give it a go. It is slightly perfumed (as majority of Bourjois products), but the scent fades very quickly once applied. It's extremely smooth and lightweight and delivers the promised results: matte effect, smaller looking pores and perfect base for a foundation. I think I'll get a lot of use out of it during hot summer months.
Bourjois Happy Light Luminous Serum Primer
This primer is suited for normal to dry skin and has a luminous effect. Having a small arsenal of radiance products I didn't really need this primer, but I guess there's a thin line between needing and wanting. I justified the purchase by telling myself that now I have a complete Happy Light collection and it is more suited for my skin type and I wasn't wrong in the slightest. I prefer it much better, probably because it gives me more 'moisturising' effect and with my skin prone to dryness I want that extra moisture from where I can get it. Just as the other one it sinks in easily and with the subtle luminous particles it gives my face this extra glow I really like.
Did you try any of these primers? Which one is your favourite?
