My eyebrows are very hard-maintenance. They can easily grow bushy and are very resistant to any attempts of taming them down. On a plus side, they are very black, so I never really need to bother with filling them, unless it's for a very special occasion and I have time on my hands. My usual routine consists of simply brushing through and then securing them with a Clear Brow Gel* and using Nourishing Brow Oil* at night. I usually pluck them myself and go for threading from time to time to keep them in a proper shape.
I recently was invited to Blink Brow Bar in Topshop Oxford Circus to check out what they have on offer. Blink Brow Bar is a walk-in brow bar which specializes in ancient Indian technique of threading. When I sat down in the chair, I was instantly relaxed, even though I was in a bustling shop floor. Ravinder explained the whole process to me and I was feeling very at ease after that. She asked me what shape I'd like to get and what she's going to do - very professional! Everything was very hygienic and she made sure that I'd get to use antibacterial gel before touching my brows. It smelled super lovely too - a delicate rosy scent which was a nice change from usual 'clinical' fragrance. Ravinder took her time and didn't rush which made me confident that I will have nice looking brows at the end. Her last touch was to slightly fill them in with Cinnamon Spice Pencil and Cinnamon Spice Gel. I absolutely love my new brows and I am amazed how much difference a little addition of colour makes! I am now slowly incorporating Cinnamon Spice Brow Definer* and Cinnamon Spice Gel* into my daily makeup routine. Last, but not least, I didn't experience any inflammation, redness or spots - perfect!
Have you ever tried threading?
