It's time to cover my spring skincare products! I've accumulated quite a bit of stuff actually which use on daily bases depending on what is the state of my skin and if I need a serious hydration or a lighter approcach. Please let me know if any of your favourites have made my cut.
I am still faithful to my beloved Elemis Sensitive Cleansing Wash which I've mentioned on the blog many times before (review) and it is absolute dream - it's gentle, perfect for my skin that is prone to dryness, smells amazing and it's not tested on animals. I am following my routine with PIXI Glow Tonic - much loved by bloggers and I can understand the hype - gentle and alcohol-free it gives my skin an extra boost of much needed ingredients, especially after a long day out and travelling on the tube full of dust and dirt. My go-to face scrub is Boots Botanics Purifying Face Scrub - I have repurchased it many times before - it buffs away impurities with an ease and isn't too harsh on my skin.
My day creams currently are NIVEA Daily Essentials Light Moisturising Day Cream For Dry & Sensitive Skin (review) and The Body Shop Nutriganics Smoothing Day Cream* which I tend to use on the strategic places where first wrinkles are planning to appear.
My night-time routine changes depending on the outcome I want to achieve. I use iconic La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+* when my skin is not looking its best and it really works wonders with redness and imperfection disappearing overnight. I use Love Your Skin Intensive Hydra Gel Moisturiser* and Love Your Skin Brightening & Clarifying Facial Serum* when I am not wearing a heavy make up during the day, so I can use lighter moisturiser at night. These two products work wonders for my skin with its gel, fast-absorbing formula and fresh scent, but regular use can lead to drying out my skin a little. So when I am suffering with some dry patches and dehydration NIVEA Daily Essentials Rich Regenerating Night Cream For Dry & Sensitive Skin (review) comes to my rescue like a knight in a shining armour.
I've also picked up recently two products to take of my eye area. Boots Botanics Hydrating Eye Cream Radiant Youth gives me a boost of radiance and reduces the appearance of my dark circles and Simple Kind To Eyes Revitalising Eye Roll-On was a repurchase - it wakes up my tired eyes (especially when I've been sitting too long in front of a monitor!), reduces puffiness and cools the area - this stuff is seriously addictive!
To remove my make up I am faithful to Bioderma Micelle Solution and I am currently using the one from the Hydrabio range, which is supposed to be extra hydrating, but to be honest I don't see that much of a difference between this one and classic pink Bioderma bottle suited for sensitive skin (review). To remove a heavy eye make up and statement lipstick I go for The Body Shop Camomile Waterproof Eye & Lip Make Up Remover which is super gentle and works like a dream, although I'd prefer if it'd come in a much bigger bottle.
