It seems that once again I've accumulated quite a collection of new face masks (take a peek at my other selection). They seem to be taking over my bathroom, so I've narrowed down new additions to these firm favourites:

Good Things Blemish Control Gel Mask*
With potent ingredients including salicylic acid and extracts from mango and lychee this is a mask I go for when a pesky breakout occurs. I love its gel formula which is easily absorbed and sinks into the skin without leaving it greasy. I think it's perfect for those suffering with an oily skin, so since I have a normal skin, I tend to use it only on the areas with blemishes and spots. I actually tested it by putting a dab of it on my spot and went to sleep. In the morning, the spot was visibly smaller, pale and the gel didn't dry out my skin. I repeated the process on the next night and in the morning there was literally no spot in sight! It's definitely one of my spot-saviours from now on. (RRP: £4.99)

LUSH Brazened Honey Fresh Face Mask
I've recently took back five of the LUSH black pots and was able to pick up the face mask I wanted. I went for this one, filled with fresh fennel, ginger root, parsley and coriander to detox and stimulate my skin. Once again, it's perfect for blemish-sufferers and I was very impressed to find my skin plump, fresh and moisturised with the smaller-looking pores after just one use. The only drawbacks for me is the smell (you can sniff a hint of honey, but overall it's not that pleasant, probably because of the coriander which I didn't notice in the ingredients list and if I did, I wouldn't have picked up this pot since I hate that herb) and the fact that the whole pot must be used within three weeks (and kept in a fridge) since it's free from any preservatives, so I guess it's a good idea to share it with someone. (RRP £5.95)

KIKO Energy Mask*
This is my first dabble in KIKO skincare and I must admit it looks rather promising. It was recommended by the sales assistant who told me that it is KIKO's best-selling mask and I certainly get the point why so many people love it. It is a black detoxifying and energising mask that helps free the skin from pollution residues and impurities, so it's perfect for people living in big cities. Even though one of the ingredients is clay, the mask has a gel formula which is a dream to apply and which means it doesn't dry out, so dry-skin sufferers won't get a feeling of ultra-tightness. The black colour is rather shocking, especially if you're squeezing it from the tube for the first time, but it does wonders for my skin - making it fresh and clean, so I am not complaining. (RRP: £5.90)

  1. The Lush one is by far my most favorite, it just feels like such a treat coming home with a full little black pot!

  3. Loving the sound of the kiko mask, it's not a brand I've heard of before but sounds fantastic for the price. As someone with dehydrated skin I sometimes don't like the tightening and drying feeling so the would make a good alternative.

  7. I love Lush's fresh face masks, but I rarely buy them as I almost never get through the entire pot before the use-by date!
