The Blogger Made Me Buy It Tag

The Blogger Made Me Buy It Tag, tag, blog, blogging, UK beauty blog,

Who are your most influential bloggers? Who are the ones that you really rely on for reviews and swatches?
I think the most influential bloggers for me are Milly from Pearls and Poodles and Fee from Makeup Savvy. I also check out The Sunday Girl for beauty news and Temptalia for swatches.

Do you buy products solely as a result from one review your favourite bloggers, or do you look for more reviews from others?
I am a sucker for hyped products, so probably the product I'm planning to buy has been already reviewed plenty of times and I will read all the reviews. If it is skincare product I tend to read reviews of people with similar skin type to mine, so I can get a proper advice. Generally, I do a lot of research, especially if the product is on a pricey side.

What is your most favourite item that you have ever bought as a consequence of blog?
I can't just pick one, since there were so many ranging from skincare, make up and nail polish: Soap & Glory Hand Food, LUSH Popcorn Lip Scrub, Seche Vite Top Coat, Bourjois Nail Polish Remover, Caudalíe range, NUXE Lip Balm...

What is your least favourite item that you have ever bought as a consequence of blog?
Hydraluron Moisture Booster which did nothing for me and I was disappointed to achieve absolute no results. I think it's highly overrated.

Name 5 products you have bought recently as a result of blogs.
Illamasqua Culminate lip gloss, Charlotte Tilbury The Dolce Vita palette, Essie Nourish Me base coat KIKO eyelash curler and Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balms in Mischievous, Unapologetic and Showy.

Have you ever given into bloggers hype? If so, which hype?
I am guilty of giving in into a lot of hypes, but I totally gave into Bourjois Happy Light range and bought foundation, two primers and a concealer as soon as they hit the stores.

Have you ever avoided blogger hype? If so, which hype?
Every single answer to this question that I've read on other blogs is Urban Decay Naked 3 palette, but I actually got it for Christmas and love it. I've avoided the hype of Maybelline Baby Lips lip balms - I haven't bought a single one and I know they were hugely popular.

Is everything you buy based on blogger reviews or are some items you buy without checking out a review?
I'd say the ratio is 50:50 and I like to buy some stuff based on the reviews, but also enjoy discovering products on my own.

  1. I love this...If I had the money I would be buying plentyyyy of stuff that bloggers like, and I actually feel depressed because I have being wanting any UD palette and since It is not available in this Country I just drool and dream over it.
