There were many wonderful moments which happened in 2013 but the biggest highlight has to be getting married to my amazing husband - again! This year we had our church ceremony celebrating with our families and friends until dawn and I wouldn't change a thing. It was such magical and special day and night and I am grateful for everything and everyone.
Cherries are my favourtie fruit of all time, but very hard to come by during the winter, unless you want to spend an obscene amount of money in Harrods Food Hall. To cheer myself up I usually put on one of my favourtie Yankee Candle - Black Cherry, but this year I have found something even more winter-special - Cherries On Snow fragrance which is so thick and sweet, but also has this freshness of cold winter air. I also like to use my cherry Revlon arsenal, which includes beautiful Cherry Blossom lipstick and Cherries In The Snow nail polish. I absolutely love these shades, they represent the vibrant red colour of real cherries perfectly and this combination, together with the M&S dress I showed a while ago, was my Christmas Day look.
dress - Glamorous, tights - Primark, shoes - Primark
I must confess that I am not a huge fan of tartan print and when I saw that it is going to be huge this A/W season I had a bit of a struggle thinking what I could invest in for it to be not too overwhelming and more "me". I was considering buying a tartan scarf to have as a non-invasive way to keep up with the trend, but when I came across this beautiful tea dress, I knew it was just perfect! I had to wait a little since it wasn't available straight away, but when I finally got it, it was even more perfect than I imagined! The rosy print makes this dress so feminine, with skater style skirt, little sleeves and fitted waist, it fulfilled my tartan dreams. What is your tartan staple this season?
I didn't plan to write this blog post, but in the end I decided to share with you some of my favourite Christmas presents which I was fortunate enough to get this year. Christmas is such magical time and I love every second of it! I loved giving and receiving the presents - the anticipation, the quick unwrapping to see something wonderful... I was spoilt rotten this year and appreciate every single gift. I can't wait to sit down and properly review all of my beauty presents, I already love Urban Decay Naked 3 palette, Topshop Macaroon lipstick and NARS Orgasm blusher and can't wait to use them all for my New Year's Eve make up look! I also went shopping yesterday and got the most amazing Charlotte Tilbury The Dolce Vita palette and two Victoria's Secret fragrance sets which were 50% off!
Last year I had more time to sit down and do a Christmas tree nail art, this time around with last shopping to do, cleaning and cooking I wanted something quick, sparkly and festive, so I've chosen this Barry M limited edition nail polish for Boots on a simple white base from Natural Collection. I love the colours of this nail polish and the effect it gives.
coat - Dorothy Perkins, jeans - Primark, shoes - ASOS,
scarf - H&M, gloves - ASOS, bag - Kardashian Kollection
It is always a struggle for me to find a perfect winter coat or jacket. It's just like shopping for bras or jeans which can make my cry when I merely think about trying everything on and finding a perfect fit. However, I am happy to report that this year I've finally found my perfect winter black coat in Dorothy Perkins! I ordered it online and was anxious if the fit will be perfect, but it's great and I have been wearing it non-stop since it came. I've found it in Petite section - a huge saviour since I don't have to fold my sleeves or suffer with 'complete-hand-coverage' - but I know that there is regular fit version available too. With the biker chic feel, gold asymmetrical zipper and quilted detailing it's a true investment piece and I'm so happy I've bought it!
Christmas shopping for your boyfriend, husband or dad can be the hardest and trickiest task of all. I rarely know what to get them. Because I am not really a fan of novelty gifts I tend to make matters harder for me and choose something practical yet cool and fun. Here is my little selection and I would be lying if most of this stuff is not already wrapped or sent to my dad. Therefore I invite you to see my sneak preview and hopefully you'll be able to get a last minute inspiration - if you need it!

RapidBrow Eyebrow Enhancing Serum is a sister product of RapidShield Eyelash Daily Conditioner (review). The unique formula is designed to help condition, restore and repair the appearance of eyebrows. Well, I don't necessarily need for my eyebrows grow even more, since they are a very unruly bunch to begin with and usually decide to live their own live - especially when I see them in the morning. Therefore, I tend to use RapidBrow to tame them down and give them more shape and structure. The serum is perfect to comb through when I leave the house and keeps a firm grip on all of my unruly hairs. I did not notice particular growth, but my eyebrows are strong to begin with, so maybe those with fairer brows would benefit more from this serum.
jumper* - Warehouse, jeans - Dorothy Perkins, shoes - Topshop,
necklace - ASOS
Lately it seems to be my clothing uniform - a cute jumper like this leopard offering from Warehouse, jeans and ankle boots. I try to add a little sparkle to every outfit and this time I dug out this beautiful necklace from ASOS. The only annoying thing is that it looks very pretty, the spikes are living their own life and constantly swirl around, so I have to keep checking if a spike is not poking me in my neck. The weather is getting colder and colder and I am happy to report that I've recently bought a beautiful addintion to my winter wardrobe - black and chic coat from Dorothy Perkins - can't wait to feature it on the blog!
Hunting for a perfect New Year’s Eve outfit sometimes can be a hard task. First of all, consider where you are going - is it street celebration in the cold, gathering of the close friends and family at home or a crazy night in the hottest club? I have it all covered here, so hopefully you'll be able to pick up some ideas. Every outfit is linked with the one item - a watch from The Watch Hut, so you can keep close eye on the time and celebrate New Year in style!
How are you going to spend your New Year's Eve? Which outfit is your favourite?
Barry M Textured Nail Effect in Lady is a limited edition nail polish exclusive to Boots. There is also a different shade exclusive to Superdrug (photos and review here) and both of them are very festive and ideal for this time of year. I am really surprised how good and opaque this nail polish is - I was expecting it to be a lot more sheer and was wondering whether to use white base beforehand, but I'm glad I didn't and let it shine on its own. On the photos you see the textured effect with only two layers of Lady and a Seche Vite top coat. After putting the top coat on, the texture is not that abrasive and I think if you're really after a glossy finish you could another layer. It's really hard to capture the effect on photos, but it glides beautifully, especially in Christmas light and I have been wearing it for past 4 days when cleaning, baking and washing and as you can see there are no chips. Perfection!
The Christmas holiday is nearly upon us, and for those fashion and beauty enthusiasts on your gift list, shopping can be tricky. There are always beautiful new clothing and beauty items that are popular this time of year, and any of them can make for gorgeous gifts. You may do well to simply stroll through the nearest high-end store, or even order from an online source like Oasis. But purchasing clothing for other people is always a bit of a risk.
One alternative to consider this holiday season is to look into beauty gadgets! After all, gadgets are all the rage in the general Christmas gift market, with everything from the new iPhones to the latest e-readers headlining wish lists of all genders and ages. So why not extend the trend to beauty? If this idea intrigues you, here are five fashion and beauty gadgets to consider for your gift list.
1. NuFace Trinity
This is a great gadget for anyone concerned about facial wrinkles but who isn't into the idea of botox, surgery, or constant cream application. If you have such a person on your list, the NuFace Trinity could be the perfect gift. It's a bit pricey, but it helps to smooth out facial wrinkles via a light, painless, and safe electrical current.
2. GLO Teeth Whitening
The most popular choice for home whitening seems to be either a switch of toothpaste or an investment in Crest whitening strips. Alternatively, some choose expensive dental methods. But the GLO teeth whitening device is another option and offers safe, convenient, and affordable home whitening. It's a great gift for someone, so long as you know they have interest in whitening!
3. Electric Shaver
Getting away from specific individual products, an electric razor is always nice to have, and it can increase comfort and decrease skin irritation. MySmartBuy has several options available, allowing you to compare choices from different brands instead of simply choosing from one. Truth be told, anything easy, portable, and comfortable can make a great gift.
4. Bliss Pore-Fector
For your friend who likes to maintain her skin with the utmost care, this is an excellent and inventive gadget. The tool runs sonic vibrations over your skin to help to clean out your pores, and it keeps your skin healthy and clear with minimal effort and no discomfort.
5. Drybar Hairstyling Kit
This isn't so much something new or inventive, but rather just a trendy and chic kit that anyone with an interest in hairstyling can enjoy. Drybar's signature blow dryer, combs, straighteners, etc... come in a hip bright yellow, and the matching kit can help build your collection.
It seems like I have been looking forever for a nice gold pack of over-the-knuckle rings and I've finally found it in H&M. Not even one, but two, with beautiful and simple designs and budget-friendly price. I really like them to wear alone, stack few pieces and mix and match. How cute is the little key and heart detail? I am a little bit worried that the gold may turn black, but for now they seem OK. Each pack costed only £2.99 and I am on a hunt for more now!
dress* - M&S, shoes - New Look
With Christmas looming just around the corner I took part in M&S ‘Real women Real shapewear’ campaign in a bid to show you my Christmas Day look in an outfit that suits my figure. Browsing on the website I was immediately drawn to this amazing white skater dress which is actually worn by Rosie Huntington-Whitely in the M&S Christmas advert. I was worried that something that looks amazing on the supermodel will not look that great on me, but after trying the dress in store I was surprised how flattering and perfect it is! Safe to say skater style dresses are majority of my wardrobe and this one with the flared hem, round neck and bead embellished neckline is a winner in my books. I've decided to wear my favourite red lipstick and gorgeous New Look heels, which match the embellishment of the dress. Also, don't forget that if you are looking for a perfect lingerie to go with the outfit, M&S provides a quick bra fitting service - I use it every time I am bra shopping and these ladies get it perfect every single time. And if you are looking for a figure-smoothing shapewear solution, you can use on-line Shapewear Finder and in six easy steps get a personalised product recommendations for your shape, needs and style.
I have already reviewed two The Fragrance Shop Discovery Club Boxes* (here and here) and today I have its 5th edition to share with you. Packed with fragrance samples for men and women it is a budget-friendly way to test some perfumes at the comfort of your home. But the benefits don't stop there with the handy voucher book containing discounts for every perfume in the box.
The samples I have received this time are JPG Classique, Nina Ricci Nina, Gucci Gucci Guilty, Thierry Mugler Angel, Thierry Mugler Alien, Givenchy Very Irresistible and also three men samples: Hugo Boss Hugo Man, Hugo Boss Boss Bottled and Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey Pour Homme. I like how almost every sample is a spritzer, so you can pop up into your make up bag and use on the go. Also, I find that with every box you get more and more samples (and discount vouchers!).
Party season is in full swing with tulle dresses, draped shoulders and glittering clutches appearing out of nowhere in the middle of the night. What is better than a little black dress for an occassion like this? Timeless and chic, it offers your imagination to wander and accessorize it with your finest jewellery and highest heels for the ultimate striking effect. But let's not forget what is underneath the dress - when you're wearing a beautiful piece of lingerie you feel more confident and sexy and if that's not the night, when are you going to wear it?
Second Christmas Wishlist instalment, last week I have covered beauty, this time it's all about fashion. As you can see it's more about investment in the pieces that I could wear and use for years, rather than following the A/W trends, although I couldn't deny myself adding cute Christmas tree hat and cosy jumper. The fox print dress has been on my wishlist for the longest of time, just like the two coin purses. Do you see anything you like? What is on your Christmas Wishlist?
2. Lulu Guinness Wild Cat T-Seam Make Up Bag
3. ASOS Smock Dress With Cute Fox

The inspiration behind the new Hugo Boss Jour Pour Femme Perfume* is that fragrance is like the first light of day - full of beautiful possibilities, so you can grab every opportunity and say “This will be your day”. With an elegant composition, the scent has been created to reflect three important female facets - composure, elegance, and inspiration - brought together in a beautiful blend of white florals and vibrant citrus.
It is nice and light fragrance and perfect for all looking for girly and floral scent. Mixture of lime, grapefruit, fresh citrus with floral bouquet of honeysuckle and freesia makes a unique composition and I have fallen in love in it from the first sniff. Even my husband commented how nice it is. Tall, milky white flacon with a transparent cap and gold details looks very luxurious and timeless. I think it is an excellent idea for a gift to your mum, sister or best friend, I'm sure I'll buy one bottle for my mum.
jumper* - New Look, skirt - ASOS, tights - Topshop, socks - Topshop, shoes - Topshop
Today is Christmas Jumper Day! I have been waiting to wear this adorable Christmas jumper for the longest of time! I actually saw it first at the New Look A/W 2013 Press Day and immediately took a snap on my phone to have a future reference when clothes hunting in winter months. Imagine my surprise and delight when I saw it in my goody bag! Thank you so much New Look! I saw a lot of Christmas jumper designs on the high street this year, but nothing compares to this cute pale blue pudding jumper with pom poms. It is also really warm and keeping my cosy.
Did you wear Christmas jumper today?
Two weeks ago I've attended New Look Spring/Summer 2014 Press Day to see the upcoming trends. There are four main trends in total which cover pretty much everything from floral skirts and dresses to oversized, slouchy jumpers and acid denim. There is also a fabulous collection of jewellery and shoes. Safe to stay that chunky necklaces are still going strong and as always New Look will deliver the prettiest gems on the high street. The shoes are full of chunky platforms, embroideries and colourful prints. My favourtie picks are from the Neon Bloom and California Dreaming trends. I also love all the pretty pastel heels, delicate crochet flats and colourful necklaces.
Pretty pastels and fabulous florals make up our Neon Bloom story. Skirts are mid length and intricate in delicate lace, whilst Spring coats are lightweight and embellished. Slouched jersey jumpers are updated with statement necklaces for a modern clean look.
Taking on a new print direction, this story plays with Aztec, patchwork, paisley and zebra. Loose silk tees are teamed with rustic beaded jackets and print matching is key in harem trousers and crop tops. This is a festival and boho mash up.
Monochrome at its best; polka dots, gingham and stripes infused with flashes of baby pink. Mesh is introduced on skirts and lingerie inspired silk dresses are finished with lace trims. Blouses tuck into distressed mom cut denim and chunky buckle belts.
Oversized florals, surf palm prints and new wash mottled denim – this collection is full of statement pieces. Acid wash jeans and jackets sit with flashes of neon pink and a touch of pretty embroidery adds a feminine edge.
Shoes & Accessories
Pops of neon, graphic print and clean, structured shapes revitalise the collection. In contrast, delicate detailing on sugary pastels adds femininity with embellishment and statement jewels. Tribal is revisited with ethnic beading, Aztec prints and a rich colour palette of crimson reds, burnt orange and luxe metallics.
