As you could see in my Illamasqua sale haul post, I've bought the Harem nail polish. I love this shade of violet and already got a lot of compliments on it. It is my first Illamasqua nail polish, because I could never justify spending £14 on a single bottle knowing that there may be similar colours in the Barry M and Revlon ranges. Taking advantage of 50% sale was the perfect way to try the formula and I am very impressed. The nail polish is very easy to apply, the colour is very vivid and stays strong for a couple of days. I think I need to look for more gems in the Illamasqua shop!

Trevor Sorbie Salon Approved Collection

Trevor Sorbie Salon Approved Collection Trevor Sorbie Styling Blow Dry Mist Trevor Sorbie Volume Leave-In Conditioner Trevor Sorbie Volume Big-Hair Powder

Trevor Sorbie is not the brand I am familiar with, but I love trying new hair products, so I jumped at the chance of going to their relaunch event. The redesigned packages look very nice and sleek and the formula have been adapted to your needs. The ranges include Styling, Curls & Waves, Straight, Colour, Volume and Frizz Free, so there's something for everyone. Also, every product has a top tip from the top salon hairdressers - some of them are very useful! Seeking my perfect volume booster, I have chosen to try two products from the Volume range and one from the Styling range.

Trevor Sorbie Styling Blow Dry Mist*
This mist has a conditioning complex and a heat protection to retain moisture and help prevent damage. I have used it to tame my hair and the result was frizz-free smooth hair, something very similar to the salon look (despite my lack of hairdresser skills). Easy to use - I just sprayed it all over my towel-dried hair and blow dried it - and does a great job.

Trevor Sorbie Volume Leave-In Conditioner*
I love using leave-in conditioners. I have been using them since high-school and I think they're a great way to top up your hair with no fuss. I am currently using something from the Aussie range, but this one has also found a place on my haircare shelf. It is ideal for someone with a fine hair, so I didn't see that big of a difference, but I still like to use it for its conditioning purposes with the mantra 'every little helps'. The product is very light and it adds an amazing shine to the hair too.

Trevor Sorbie Volume Big-Hair Powder*
This is a novelty product for me. This powder provides instant volume, texture and a matt finish. It's perfect for creating up-dos and 60s vibe beehives and root-lifts. It does work and I love how light and transparent it is. I like how the nozzle enables for you to be precise. If you want to try anything from the Trevor Sorbie range, I strongly recommend it!

All product available in Boots from July 2013.

Pink and glitter overload. These nails remind me so much of a nails of a princess, especially when I was little, that's how imagined my idea of heaven - pink sprakle (now I'd add a couple of Louboutin shoes, Chanel bags and pink champagne - it does have the sparkle!).

Charlotte Tilbury's Make-up Bag from House of Rock n’ Kohl events, bags, make up, Selfridges,

From 17 to 23 June, Selfridges hosted a week-long beauty festival with the world's most sought-after make-up artist, Charlotte Tilbury. Before launching her very own make-up collection exclusively at Selfridges in September 2013, Charlotte's House of Rock 'n' Kohl gave 'money-can't-buy' access to her expertise and 'little black book' of industry insiders for the first time.

I poped there just for a minute to buy an amazing limited edition make up bag featuring kisses of Charlotte herself and her famous friends: Kate Moss, Alice Temperley, Sienna Miller, Stella McCartney and Carine Roitfeld. I also adore the Charlotte's quote on the other side: "Every woman deserves a man to ruin her lipstick, not her mascara."

New fragrances for summer: L'Occitane, The Body Shop and Victoria's Secret

New fragrances for summer: L'Occitane, Body Shop and Victoria's Secret L'Occitane Cherry Blossom Eau De Toilette The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Mist Victoria's Secret Pure Daydream Pearl Orchid & Pink Currant Fragrance Mist
New fragrances for summer: L'Occitane, Body Shop and Victoria's Secret L'Occitane Cherry Blossom Eau De Toilette The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Mist Victoria's Secret Pure Daydream Pearl Orchid & Pink Currant Fragrance Mist

With the summer coming I need to get some new fragrances to compliment the new season. I've chosen these three, they vary significantly, so I can always find something depending on my mood.

L'Occitane Cherry Blossom Eau De Toilette
This EDT has a nice fresh and fruity scent. Very feminine and delicate, just like a new spring day, when everything is blooming. Good all year round fragrance and I would recommend to anyone who likes light floral notes and found it to be long lasting. I have found that the scent still lingered on my scarf even after more than 24 hours!

The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Mist
Being a lover of the pink grapefruit shower gel, I was pleased to see a mist in the same fragrance. I love its fresh and zesty smell and how it lingers rather well for a body mist! You need to re-apply it after 2-3 hours, but I love how the smell makes you feel wide awake and is so fresh.

Victoria's Secret Pure Daydream Pearl Orchid & Pink Currant Fragrance Mist
Escape with Pure Daydream, blissfully bright with fresh pearl orchid and pink currant fragrance mist. This amazing sweet and fresh scent lingers on skin for short 1-2 hours, but I still love to apply it before I go to bed or spritz it on my hair before I go out, especially now in the summer.

My manicure routine

I like painting my nails and changing the colour depending on trends and my mood. However, this could take a toll on my nails and cuticles, if I wouldn't take proper care and follow my strict regime. I hope you'll enjoy the post and please share with me any tips or tricks of the trade on how to take care of the hands and nails.

BASE COATS
My base coats are Revlon Quick Dry Base Coat and Models Own Pro Nail Strengthener.
Revlon product, as the name suggests, dries extremely quickly and the formula is very light. It has a slight matt effect after an application, but it doesn't change the formula of the nail polish I apply afterwards. I think that its best feature is drying quickly - there's nothing more annoying than waiting ages for a base coat to settle.
Models Own Pro has a quite different formula. It's thicker and you have to wait a lot longer for it to dry. However, it's worth the wait! I have naturally strong nails, but when I am using this base coat for a while, my nails are strong, never peel or split. A great product and something to look into when you're at a Models Own stand.

TOP COATS
The top coats I own and use are Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat, Seventeen Double Gloss Top Coat and Nails Inc Caviar Topcoat.
Seche Vite is one of the most famous top coats and after testing it for a while I understand why! You only need a tiny drop of it to work the magic. The formula is very thick, but it's easy to apply and it kind of melts into the nail. The nails feel strong, the gloss is unbeatable and there is no chipping. I strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a good nail care investment! I know that the coat is expensive, but you can still find it for a fraction of a price. I recently followed Makeup Savvy's tip and got this bottle for £4.51 from Amazon (I saw that the price increased to £5.50 but it is still half of the usual £10.95!).
If you are looking for something cheaper, Seventeen top coat can be an answer. For £3.99 (or often on 3 for 2 offer) you get a hardwearing, high gloss finish. It gets the job done and as you can see I have been using it a lot. I did get an odd chip here and then, but I think it was also due to the nail polish formula. I like how it has a flat brush, something that is missing from Seche Vite.
This tiny bottle of Nails Inc top coat is actually my second bottle of this product. It does a good job, but somehow even the famous brand didn't quite endear me to this top coat. My nails chipped more often when I was using it, so I guess this product is simply not for me.

CUTICLE OIL
My recent discovery which became a firm staple in my manicure routine is The Body Shop Almond Nail & Cuticle Oil. This handy two-in-one pen softens cuticles while caring for dry, brittle nails. It contains sweet almond oil which works wonders and smells very sweet. It is so easy to use, hoof stick on the end is gentle but successfully pushes back cuticles, my nails feel so much better and my cuticles are in one piece. I cannot recommend it enough!

NAIL BUFFER
Another gem from The Body Shop is Nail Buffer. For me it is the best buffer on the market and I have lost count how many I have used over the years. For £2 you get three levels of coarseness which smooth, buff and give shine to your nails. The buffer is strong enough, but not too strong and the end shine is gorgeous - looks as if I have painted them with clear nail varnish.

HAND CREAM
My current hand creams are & Other Stories Hand Lotion Lemon Daydream and Soap & Glory Hand Food Hydrating Hand Cream.  I also like to use Nivea Nourishing Hand Cream and Nivea Hand SOS Cream in the winter.
I have already reviewed & Other Stories cream, all I can say it's going strong, I really like the pump and the smell and I keep it on my desk for a quick TLC for my hands.
This famous Soap & Glory hand cream has a really nice scent, hydrates and has a feel of a hand mask. I love putting it before going to sleep, for a good hand moisture. Also, only month ago I've noticed that its name is Hand Food - I was always 100% sure that the name is Hand Foot and was always wondering why Soap & Glory made Heel Genius as a separate product!

Illamasqua haul - Harem, Plunge and Liv Illamasqua, nail polish, lipstick, pink, purple, make up, review, blogger

To celebrate a milestone of getting 50,000 followers on Twitter, Illamasqua has released a 50% off code on all of their product. It was such an amazing opportunity for those not familiar with the brand to try and test some products or for those like me, lusting after few bits and pieces, but never having enough strength to use the credit card. I do like the Illamasqua products and the whole concept of being out of ordinary (or out of this world) - in terms of colours, collections and uniqueness. I like their adverts and believe that the products are of a very good quality, but the prices seem to high for me.

Saying that, I splurged during the sale on a nail polish and two lipsticks. Harem is just gorgeous shade of bright mauve pink and is perfect for summer. I also bought two pink lipsticks: Plunge, which is also a mauve pink with a matte finish and Liv, soft lavender pink, also with matte finish. I was desperately trying to get hold of Immodest, but sadly it was sold out. Did you pick up anything at the Illamasqua sale?

NAILS: Essie Mint Candy Apple nail polish, nails, NOTD, Essie, minted, review blogger

Essie Mint Candy Apple was not so long ago one of the most coveted nail polish colours. Every time I wanted to buy it it was either not available or I couldn't justify spending that much money on a single nail polish. So when there was 3 for 2 offer in Boots some time ago and I saw this shade, I went crazy. I am a huge fan of Essie's brushes - they are flat and have oval endings - perfect for nail polish application.

I absolutely love this shade, it's what I can call a 'classic-mint'. Full of vibrancy, with a hint of blue undertone, it is perfect for summer and winter. As most of you know, mint and lilac are my favourite colours and this shade is one of my firm favourites now.

Laura Mercier make up reviews

A while ago I was invited to a little event presenting Laura Mercier's products and techniques used by one of the brands make up artists. I was already familiar with the brand and some of the products like the famous Foundation Primer. It was nice to get a quick make up fix and learn some good tips like applying foundation by gently pressing it to the areas that need it most and less is always more. I like how Laura Mercier knows her strengths and invests more into a natural, day-to-day make up, which makes it more wearable than some other brands. The company's philosophy focuses on what it calls the "flawless face", a concept that is allegedly derived from Mercier's promotion of natural-looking makeup. I am a huge fan of a natural, understated look and I loved to try and test the products* we were given to achieve this au naturel look.

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer
I am a big fan of a primer and this is definitely one of the best I have ever come across. It's suitable for all skin types and creates a smooth and invisible layer to prepare the skin for your usual foundation. I like how it sinks in quickly and I must admit my foundation stays fresh all day. It gives a really nice look and feel to the skin and makes the skin look very hydrated and polished. No wonder it's firm favourite of many beauty bloggers!

Laura Mercier Soufflé Body Crème Ambre Vanillé
Top notes of Coconut and Almond and base notes of Amber, Vanilla Beans, Brown Sugar and Sandalwood make it a scent of an ultimate indulgence for me. It is absolutely heavenly. You can really smell the notes and they are very intoxicating. There is a hint of the amber as the scent dies down and it is lovely. The cream itself is smooth and moisturising, sinks in easily and doesn't leave a greasy residue. I am putting this on my wishlist, I want a full-sized product now!

Laura Mercier Flawless Skin Dual-Action Eye Makeup Remover
When shaken, this dual action formula quickly dissolves makeup with no oily residue. I swear by using Bioderma Micellar Solution as my make up remover, so I was a little bit apprehensive testing this product. However, it did remove waterproof mascara and didn't pinched my eyes (something I've experienced before with various eye make up removers). There is almost no residue left afterwards, but it is not a problem for me, as I always use Elemis Sensitive Cleansing Wash afterwards anyway. The only fault is the recently redesigned bottle which has a wide entrance and it is very difficult to control the liquid flow.

Laura Mercier make up Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Laura Mercier Soufflé Body Crème Ambre Vanillé Laura Mercier Flawless Skin Dual-Action Eye Makeup Remover Laura Mercier Crème Cheek Colour in Rosebud Laura Mercier Faux Lash Mascara Laura Mercier Lip Glace in Bonbon Laura Mercier, make up, beauty, review, primer, blusher, mascara, lip gloss, blogger

Laura Mercier Crème Cheek Colour in Rosebud
This beautifully packaged cream blusher is a true gem. It is so easy to use with your fingers or a brush. The creamy texture is super blendable and you can build up the colour to your fancy. Smooth and sheer finish goes perfectly with the 'flawless face' concept and the tip I've learnt is to apply it only on the apples of my cheeks and blend carefully with fingers. It has a good staying power, but I'm afraid those with oily or combination skin may need to reapply it during the day.

Laura Mercier Faux Lash Mascara
After reading some reviews on-line I came to conclusion that it is either love or hate for this mascara. I am in the former category. I was instantly drawn to how the brush looks (I don't like plastic brushes/combs). It may not be easy to use straight away, but after few times you can easily master the skill. And it is worth it. This mascara makes your lashes look full and thick. Forget about the clumps or smudges, it's simply great!

Laura Mercier Lip Glace in Bonbon
I usually do not wear lip gloss because I do not like the texture but this one can make me a convert. The feel of it on the lips is smooth and creamy, not at all sticky and it has a subtle yummy vanilla scent. It has enough colour to make a difference on my lips, but at the same time they don't look overly made-up. This shade Bonbon (candy in French) is wonderful for all skin tones.

Isabel Marant for H&M

Isabel Marant is the newest designer to collaborate with H&M! Available from 14th November in stores and online, the collection will feature clothing and accessories for women and teenagers. Isabel will also, for the first time, create a collection for men. I simply cannot wait for this collection, I hope it will bring French touch and effortless Parisian elegance and the pieces will be timeless and chic.

“I am flattered by this collaboration: H&M works with the best designers and this invitation is an exciting honour. I aim at creating something real, that women want to wear in their everyday lives, with a certain carelessness, which I think is very Parisian: you dress up, but do not pay too much attention and still look sexy. The collection is infused with this kind of easiness and attitude. Everything can be mixed following one’s own instincts: my take on fashion is all about personality" says Isabel Marant.

Born and raised in Paris, Isabel Marant started customising her own clothes while still at high school. A graduate of the famed Studio Berçot, Marant worked her way up the fashion system starting with a jewellery line, then adding knitwear, finally launching her eponymous collection in 1994. Today she runs an internationally successful fashion powerhouse with a string of boutiques worldwide. Her Parisian chic style, a mix of bohemia and masculine tailoring, grows in popularity season after season. Nowadays, mixing urban attitude, boho elegance and rock ‘n’ roll spirit, Isabel delivers a genuine French allure.

Bourjois Cream Blushers Bourjois, blusher, beauty, review, make up, swatches, Nude Velvet and Healthy Glow Rose Tender Sweet Cherry

Bourjois has recently released new collection of cream blushers. Blusher is my ultimate make up product and I can easily live without mascara or lipstick, but blusher is my necessity. I just love how it transforms the face in an instant and give this healthy glow.

For the past year, I have been a testing and loving cream blushers, especially this Look Beauty Fresh Cheeks Blusher in Guava, so I was happy to see that Bourjois, which is one of my favourite high-street brands released these four little pots, just in time for summer. I couldn't resist picking four of them - I know they will be an investment, Bourjois products last such a long time!

As you can see, Nude Velvet and Healthy Glow shades have the orange tint and would be perfect with a tan. My firm favourite is Rose Tender, which has a little shimmer to illuminate even the dullest skin. Sweet Cherry is very pigmented, so you need to be careful with application, but I really like the deep-red colour.

The package is sturdy and cute, I like how it is colour-coded and that the names are on the lid. Magnetic lock and handy mirror make these blushers perfect to pop into a bag and apply on the go.

New Primark buys Primark, new things, T-shirt, shoes, animals, jewellery, headband, rings, socks, cute things, iPad, haul, mouse flats shoes

This is my little Primark haul. I love all the items I've bought, but my firm favourites have to be these super cute mouse flats (£8)! Seriously - how cute are they?! I have cat flats inspired by Charlotte Olympia, maybe next time I should wear one cat and one mouse on my feet - like cat chasing the mouse? I can imagine what reaction I would get! I seem to have many black flats, so it's nice to see beige making an entrance into my wardrobe. Boyfriend t-shirts are stylish and cool, so these (£4 each) quickly went into my basket. There are lots of other colours and prints to choose from like stripes. I already own few of these rings, but they are just too good to pass for £2.50. This floral headband is more demure than my Crown & Glory one, so I can easily wear it everyday. Lastly, this iPad cover is so cool and it was reduced to only £2! It was simply too good to pass! Did you buy something in Primark recently?

WHAT I WORE TODAY: lace effect metal necklace

shirt - New Look, jeans - Dorothy Perkins, shoes* - New Look
necklace* - M&S, bracelet (arrow)* - Stella and Dot, bracelet (spikes) - New Look, rings - Primark,
watch - Casio

This is what I usually wear these days. Skinny jeans, shirt or a nice boyfriend t-shirt, some accessories and I'm good to go! These New Look sandals you've been seeing on my outfit posts recently have been my best summer purchase yet - they're perfect - nude shade, little studs and protected heel - they've been made for London weather which can change from hot to cold in mere minutes. What is your best summer purchase yet?

I am also loving the M&S necklace I got from my Press Day goodie bag - such a unique and statement piece. I think it will also look amazing with a white shirt. My arm candy for the day was my trusted gold Casio watch, New Look spiky bracelet and a little gem from Stella and Dot.

New underwear from Chantelle and Victoria's Secret

Chantelle has designed and manufactured high-quality lingerie with a French allure since 1876. With so many women wearing the wrong size and style of the bra, it is important to get fit regularly and to understand the impact that wearing the right size and style of the bra can have on the wardrobe. It can actually help with your body language, posture, style and confidence. Ideally you should have a bra fitting every 6 months to make sure that you are wearing the right size. I went to see the preview of Chantelle's 'Little Black Lingerie' capaign for A/W 2013 and also met with the professional brafitters who taught me how important it is to wear the right bra size. The minute I've put on this beautiful set*, I felt transformed and my clothes feel better. So ladies, get measured and I strongly recommend to see the whole range - they have something stylish for everyone!
Chantelle is stocked in Selfridges, Harrods, John Lewis, House of Fraiser and Fenwick stores.

Victoria's Secret is a cult shop and a brand. Victoria's Angels, one of the most beautiful women in the world are strutting the catwalk every season at Victoria's Secret Fashion Show looking breathtaking in their attires when promoting and marketing the goods in this lavish event. I have visited the London store just before my birthday for a little haul. I simply adore these neon colours and cute prints!

NUXE Rêve de Miel Lip Balm, Rêve de Miel Hand & Nail Cream and Huile Prodigieuse Multi Usage Dry Oil

NUXE Rêve de Miel Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm, Rêve de Miel Hand & Nail Cream and Huile Prodigieuse Multi Usage Dry Oil beauty, review, NUXE, skincare, lip balm,

NUXE is one of France's best-selling natural cosmetics brands. The NUXE logo - an inspirational tree - symbolises the brand's founding principle - the very best nature has to offer. All products are free of mineral oil and animal products, contain no parabens, preservatives or artificial colourings.

NUXE Rêve de Miel Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm, Rêve de Miel Hand & Nail Cream and Huile Prodigieuse Multi Usage Dry Oil beauty, review, NUXE, skincare, lip balm,

NUXE Rêve de Miel Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm*
Rêve de Miel face and body line is suitable for dry and sensitive skin. I especially love this range, as my uncle is a beekeeper and I know how hard it is to produce honey and how good it is for us. The star product has to be this amazing Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm - already a firm favourite of many (one is sold every 28 seconds throughout the world). Its purpose is to repair and nourish with a rich texture to supple and comfort the dry and chapped lips. The ingredients include honey, plant oils, shea butter and a hint of grapefruit essence, which makes it delicious enough to eat.

This lip balm is without doubt considerably more expensive than your usual lip balm, but I believe it is a great investment for your lips. The texture is both creamy and light and it is not sticky or gloopy. You can smell the honey and grapefruit working together and you only need to apply a tiny amount on the lips. I use it as an overnight treatment, just before I go to bed and I can still feel it in the morning. It has a matte finish, so I even tested it as a base for my lipsticks and it works wonders too. Beautiful packaging - great to put it on your nightstand, although I wouldn't pop it into a bag - the package is made of glass, so it is pretty heavy. I also love how the cardboard package acts as a leaflet, so it adds just this little extra to the environment protection.

NUXE Rêve de Miel Hand & Nail Cream*
This repairing and nourishing hand cream is also part of the  Rêve de Miel range, so rest assured that it smells very nice. It melts into the skin quickly leaving no greasy residue. Hands appear glossy and well looked after. Quick to use, no need to wait around for it to dry, so you can rub in on the go.  Honey, Chilean rose, avocado and sweet almond precious oils nourish the skin and help to keep the hands hydrated and soft.

NUXE Rêve de Miel Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm, Rêve de Miel Hand & Nail Cream and Huile Prodigieuse Multi Usage Dry Oil beauty, review, NUXE, skincare, lip balm,

NUXE Huile Prodigieuse Multi Usage Dry Oil*
This is a classic Nuxe product which has multiple uses (face, body, hair) and is multi-functional (protect, nourish and perfect). With its unique concentration of 6 precious oils (Borage, St. John's Wort, Sweet Almond, Camellia, Hazelnet Hazelnut and Macadamia) and vitamin E, this dry oil will leave your skin soft and silky and your hair will be left with softness and shine.

You can apply it to your face, body and hair all year round - my skin was feeling extra smooth after application. It smells divine and rubs into the skin without leaving any residue. Another tip is to mix a drop of the oil with your usual foundation for easier glide-on application with no sticky effect. You can also spray a little dry oil into the palm of your hand then gently tousle your hair for a natural result. The scent is grown-up and luxurious and no wonder it is bestseller in France.
