I recently spotted few celebrities wearing neon yellow nails. But I mean totally neon - like the vests workers are wearing and road signs are made of. I searched the net for the perfect color, but the beauty companies don't make it and the only ones that I managed to find in the UK were StarGazer Nail Polish 102 and American Apparel Neon Yellow 47193. Because the former one has glitter in it and I'm no longer fan of it (I went through a huge glitterati phase in High School) I knew I didn't want that.
On the other hand, American Apparel's one was just perfect - matte finish, screaming neon yellow. I ended up running to Selfridges on Saturday to get one 15 minutes before the whole store closed to paint my nails on Sunday morning. It is my first nail polish from this company and I am sure I will buy some more - there is only minor chipping and it's already Wednesday.
After reading a couple of reviews I was scared that it will take a long time to completely dry off (one of the girls wrote that it took her one hour <scream> to make sure it was OK), but in my opinion it is just as normal as Barry M. The price is £7 for 15ml, but I'm sure it will last me a long time. (You can also buy packs of three: Neon Orange/Neon Green/Neon Yellow or seven: Neon Red/Neon Coral/Neon Violet/Neon Orange/Neon Green/Neon Yellow/Clear.)
I painted two coats for a complete coverage. I also had to use a top coat for a shiny feel - otherwise the nails just stays matte.
There were few people who actually turned their heads around and looked at my hands. I feel like my nails are like out of this world!
